Sony CFO Lin Tao responds to the backlash over ending PlayStation discs: “We put in a lot of thought and time, and we cautiously considered this, and we came to this conclusion, and we’re going to cautiously move this forward…” Sony has heard the gaming community loud and clear and… decided to ignore you anyway. This is a giant middle finger to every PlayStation fan who’s been begging them to preserve physical media. They’re not listening. They’re basically saying ‘We made up our minds, deal with it.’ I especially like how she goes out of her way to straight up lie about the reason why. Zero mention of money or how much more they’ll make. Nothing covering digital ownership and how they’ll be able to bend you over in their own ecosystem in the future.
