Dexter vs. Claude Code I ran tests overnight and Dexter came out ahead on complex financial tasks that required deep research. Dexter won on: • speed (by 92%) • cost (by 26%) • correctness (by 31%) I use Claude Code often, so this was fun to see. A key challenge for CC is that it relies on web search for financial data. Most of what it finds comes from news sites, blogs, and other secondary sources. Dexter uses primary source data from Financial Datasets, so the performance gap makes sense. Plenty of room to improve on Dexter. The gap will only grow from here. Evals from vals. Report coming next.

"npx t3 connect" This one's been a lot of work. You can now set up remote control for T3 Code on any internet-connected box with literally one command. All for free. T3 Connect is a minimal open source tunnel layer allowing you to control T3 Code instances remotely without needing Tailscale set up. I've been daily driving it for a month and it has changed how I code. Julius and I put a lot of effort into making setup as smooth as possible. Step 1: Install Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, or Grok Build Step 2: Run "npx t3 connect" Step 3: Click link and sign in Step 4: You can now control that computer on T3 Code web, desktop or mobile (dropping very soon) We are currently providing this for free (s/o CloudFlare for bumping our tunnel limits). Every user can connect up to 3 devices. We don't want to charge for this, but if the bill gets unacceptable we may have to change course. If you hit limits or have issues, you can always fork, self host, or use Tailscale. T3 Connect may seem like a small ergonomic win. Tbh that's exactly what it is. Simplicity is at the heart of great software. This is one of the reasons why Claude Code has been sticky for me. As a builder, I love planning and brainstorming, and this is now a key focus of Claude Code. I use Shift + Tab a lot to cycle between brainstorming, planning, and execution. This functionality provides the appropriate interface for me to either be very involved or less involved as I please. This works particularly well when building out new and complex features or entire new projects. This saves a huge amount of time. It allows me to tune Claude Code to execute and build more effectively. It also builds a loop of trust, and I often (surprisingly) find Claude Code asking for clarifications when it's confused. Coding agents don't normally do that. I have shared before on the power of brainstorming with AI for longer times. Try it and you will not be disappointed. Vibe coding is fun, but pair it with intentional development cycles, and you watch how far you can take a project with coding agents today.
