I’m honestly terrible at video editing, so I decided to throw my website link into Pexo and see what would happen. This time, I used Pexo. Pexo is an AI video creation tool that lets you build videos just by chatting with it. You can explain what you want, describe how you want the visuals changed, and use plain English to guide the whole process. And for someone like me with basically zero video editing experience, that makes a huge difference. A little context first. I usually write code, not videos. I wanted to properly introduce my product on X, but quickly realized that writing the post wasn’t the hard part. The video was. I don’t know After Effects, and I definitely didn’t want to spend hours learning video editing just to make one product clip. So I gave Pexo the website URL and told it: “Make me a product intro for X that helps people understand what this is in 30 seconds.” Instead of immediately generating something random, Pexo first asked about the direction. Who is it for? How long should it be? Should it focus more on the product demo or the story? Do I want a voiceover? It felt more like discussing the video with someone who actually understands production. I answered everything in plain English, confirmed the direction, and let it work. What came back was a complete video with voiceover, subtitles, animations, and background music. No timeline. No dragging clips around. No figuring out which model to use. And I could keep chatting with it afterward. If the intro felt too long, I could ask it to make it shorter. If a voiceover line felt too wordy, I could simply ask it to rewrite it. I never had to touch a traditional editing timeline. There’s also a really useful feature called Mark to Fix. For example, at the end of my video, I wanted the “Sign Up Now” button moved slightly lower. I just circled the button on the video and wrote: “Move the button down a little and leave more space between it and the title above.” Then I submitted it, and Pexo revised that specific part. A good quick summary of my approach to writing. If I can't write something I feel great about in 5-10 minutes, I just throw it away and start over. I don't try to massage the bad into the good, I erase the bad to make way for something better to emerge. For me, throwing it away is faster, and the outcome better, than trying to recover a piece of writing that isn't headed where I want it.

AI Generated videos at 60fps 📺 Yesterday, in the post that I made about Pika’s latest update that added a new `-fps` parameter which allows to set the frames per seconds of the generated video, from 8 to 24, I also talked about a technique that I used to turn them into 60fps videos “effortlessly”. Well, this morning I decided to add a new command to my Discord bot (Magnus) that does just that! You send it your video and the desired frames per seconds (could be 24, 60, 120, …) and it magically does it for you. The most crazy part is, that it’s all done with a 23 years old piece of software! Essentially what it does is generate additional frames between existing frames of the video sequence. This create smoother and more fluid motion by estimating and inserting intermediate frames, reducing choppiness and juddering in the video playback. This technique is called interpolation. In the demo video below I went, on purpose, from 8 fps to 60fps — It's a little bit extreme and I do recommend to go with a smaller bump if you desire a smoother result If you want to take a look by yourself, go to my blog and check out the source code. The kind of project started exciting, but ended up sapping my creative juice along the way. It's tough when we dedicate hours to a template that has low sales performance. Maybe I should reconsider my strategy as a template creator. Anyway, just saying.
