Well that’s just it isn’t it. These EO’s force Congress to act. Ro Khana already came out and said he will sponsor bipartisan legislation to codify this EO into law.

It doesn’t address the bigger issue which is PBM’s. They control pricing of drugs in the US. Even if this is enforceable what’s to stop PBMs from just not marketing these drugs in the US?

This is the most important clip that you were going to hear from presidential candidate Kamala Harris, because all of their talks about being moderates are a giant joke. Here she is telling you that she will give Congress a chance to act, but if they don’t, she will do whatever she wants to do by executive order. People need to internalize that statement and realize that what that means is that she is going to take away your constitutionally protected rights by executive order, if she feels like it. If there was ever one clip that that needed to be viral, it would be this clip and we need to hammer this point home every single day from now until the election. She will do whatever she wants by executive order if she does not get Congress to bend to her will. Her words, not mine.

So this afternoon. Trump made his 143rd executive order to ban the gain of function research in China. Congress has not codified any of trumps executive orders yet. Why haven't we seen the republicans in the house codify any of these executive orders. We know why everyone on here is preaching it. MTG has 2 already ready to go (Gulf of America and Make English, the official US Language). I called my congressman Tony Wied, along with Derrick Van Orden and Bryan Steil, my WI reps. I asked the staff members if they are writing legislation to codify the executive orders trump has made. They said they would all get back to me when I explained to them that Trump's executive orders are temporary and not made law yet. I would love a public statement this week from all of them. Republicans snuck a provision into their budget bill that will make it harder for courts to hold the Trump administration — and any future administration — accountable. This is intentional. Parliament cannot script a judgement of a court. Parliament can only legislate and hold institutions, including Judiciary and Executive, accountable. Judgement writing, adjudication, is the sole prerogative of Judiciary, as much as legislation is that of the Parliament. But frequently we are seeing that the executive governance is by judicial orders. When the government is elected by people, it is accountable to Parliament. The government is accountable to the people at election. There is a principle of accountability in operation. In Parliament, you can ask questions, critical questions, because the governance is by the Executive. But if this executive governance is by Judiciary, how do you ask questions? Whom do you hold accountable in elections? Time has come for our three institutions, Legislature, Judiciary, and Executive, to blossom. And they blossom best when they operate in their own area. Any incursion by one in the domain of the other poses a challenge, which is not good. It can upset the balance. The relationship between these three must be wholesome, soothing, one of deep understanding and coordination, not show of authority. #RajyaSabha
