I’ve been on the road

I’ve never left Nigeria, but every time I see developed cities in documentaries or records like this where citizens don’t stress about food, basic healthcare and education, good roads, or simple amenities; I always ask myself “Why not Nigeria?” and end with one wish: “My country should be like this.” In this trip, what surprised you the most?

Nigerian leaders are visiting these foreign countries where everything is working. The foreign leaders built their country: infrastructure, security, education, electricity & industrialization. But when back home they'll hire Data Boys to defend corruption & bad governance.

Nigeria’s problem isn’t just about its leaders the masses also share in the blame. In many cases, we enable the same corruption we complain about by celebrating politicians with questionable records, all in the name of politics. Look around: individuals with PhDs and degrees often end up in roles like SA or SSA, yet some still take pride in being “PR” or “data boys.” When young people prioritize “stomach infrastructure” over integrity and long-term progress, it raises a serious question—how can Nigeria truly move forward with this mindset?
