According to the Communications Director for Labadi Beach, this morning’s demolition exercise has come as a shock to management and workers, as earlier engagements with the Labadi Beach Hotel indicated that only four establishments located behind the hotel premises were expected to be affected by the exercise. He has therefore appealed to the government for immediate intervention, warning that more than 5,000 people who were previously engaged in various businesses and activities within the area have now been left without a source of livelihood following the demolition.
