✨ I've been using #Unity3D for 12 years. ✨ I'm using Blender's GeoNodes for a procedural mesh that's realtime-animated with a custom shader in Unity. ---(reminiscing, reflection follows)-- At some point, you realize it's 'all' states, relationships, and data/information. What is, isn't, and how they relate, subject to laws,... principles. 🌌 Define some latent space -> atomics, data -> simulation/form -> information. Like a grid-texture of pixels that are to mean something, represent something. And they are processed/simulated in some way by some measure. So that you get some transformed, meaningful result. What is possible, here? -- in that space. (by the parameters, and features defined). 🧊 Likewise, a 3D field-volume in which things exist, being and not being. It may sound mystical, but I mean it literally: the definition of what things are, and are not, and what that means as a relationship (to something[s]). Take, for example a sphere, or box collider primitive. 🪩 Sphere's and circles are the most simple colliders, involving only a point (where they are) and radius (distance from that point, as a center) to define. 💥 The equations to calculate collisions against and between spheres is also relatively straightforward. Implementation of that is a part of building primitive relationships and definitions for simulations. 🎇 It follows, that for a particle system, the data structure of a single element/particle is (about) some point that simulates in some way. Boids and fluid sims have this in common. It seems this year (so far) has been ~about realizing that (with greater lucidity, at least), and learning it all relates to the nature of the universe. Involving simulations, and data flow-control... Ultimately, all these things are objective to us, in that we learned and were taught about how things work. And so it's making their earnings inflate.” “So he's claiming they're cooking the books. Google first made this change in Q1 of 2021, where they said the servers are now going from 3 to 4 years. Separately in 2021, Google took networking equipment from 3 to 5 years. And then in 2023, they took it from 5 to 6 years.” “And so this is a result of this effort where they went in and did an analysis. YOKO ONO: ONOCHORD, VENICE, 2004 Yoko: The world is divided in two industries. One is the War Industry and the other is the Peace Industry. The people in the War Industry are totally together. They don't have to talk to each other, even. They know exactly what they want to do. They want to go out there, kill and make money. But the people in the Peace Industry, which are us - we are so idealistic that each one of us criticises the other Peace Person in the Peace Industry. And we are always just arguing and we are wasting our energies doing that. So let's just forgive each other and see that we are in the Peace Industry and that's all that counts. Even if you are not marching for peace, just be yourself, being a florist, being a merchant, being a talior, anything. That way you're contributing to the Peace Industry. People are just concentrating on fear, confusion and anger. And therefore just for a moment, I'd like us to think about Love. In a very magical, straight way, John and I met in London and from then on we stood for Peace and Love. And when I do this kind of event. Well it is... I was inspired to do it, but I still think that I'm still with John in spirit. John and I created the country called Nutopia. Not Utopia, because there was Utopia as a concept already. And we wanted to create a new concept, so we just added N on it - Nutopia - and as a country. Well, that is the concept of a country. And we all are citizens of that country. And in my apartment in the Dakota Building, we put a little plaque on the back door, the kitchen door. It says 'Nutopian Embassy' and even now we have that. (laughs). Nutopia exists in our minds. And because of that, some people want to rebel against it. The reason some want to rebel against it is a good proof that it exists. I think that it was a terrible thing that happened in Chechnya. But we have to still keep our hopes up. And instead of giving up, we have to keep on sending the message of Love to each other. You say that I am the Ambassador of Peace. We are all Ambassadors of Peace. You are too. Everybody in this room are Ambassadors of Peace. Just the fact that we are not participating in War. 🚨Crop Circles Are Still One of the Strangest Unanswered Questions But Why? Crop circles are one of those subjects people think they have figured out, no matter what side of the debate you sit on right? The easiest answer is that they are made by people with boards, ropes and a bit of planning, and that's fair because some most definitely are. But that doesn't answer why the phenomenon continues year on year. It doesn't explain why some formations appear with complex geometry, clean execution, unusual scale and almost no obvious ground disturbance. It doesn't explain why witnesses sometimes report lights, strange sounds, interference, or formations appearing in very short windows of time with nobody being seen during the formations. It definitely doesn't explain why the best ones feel like messages written in geometry, and that is exactly what keeps us all coming back. Crop circles are somewhere between art, folklore, hoax, mathematics, consciousness and the unknown. They are physical and visible. They can be photographed, measured, walked through and studied, and yet too this day the meaning remains elusive and different to almost everyone. So Are they human made land art, ritual symbols, social experiments, attempts to communicate? Or are they something stranger using the landscape as a canvas? The truth is probably messy. Some are most definitely fake and I accept that. Some are probably copycats of others. Some are truly beautiful human creations. But there are still formations that make you stop and ask why anyone would go to that level of effort in the dark, in a field, just to leave no signature and take no credit. That for me is one of the most questionable parts. Why go to all that trouble for zero recognition and risk getting arrested? The planning that it would take for some of these formations is absolutely incredible. A far cry from a couple of drunks with ropes and boards that's for sure. Organizing an army of people to coordinate and create these formations in short windows of time in the dark, must take months of preparation. The other questionable part for me, is why some formations have exploded nodes on the crop. Why crop in that area grows back bigger and stronger than the rest of the crop in that field. Why there are readings of elevated radioactivity in the formations, and feelings of euphoria for those that visit them? I'm not saying that crop circles are made by aliens, but they do prove something about us. We are still drawn to symbolism, we still look for patterns, because that is what we are, pattern recognition tools, no different to AI. But somewhere between the hoaxes and the mysteries, the question is still open enough to keep us all watching, because we don't have all of the answers.
