Tip of the iceberg....Diana did write a well-known handwritten note (often dated October 1995 or 1996) expressing fear of a staged car accident involving brake failure and a serious head injury so her husband could remarry. She left it with her butler Paul Burrell, who later publicized it. A separate contemporaneous memo by her lawyer Lord Mishcon recorded similar concerns she raised in an October 1995 meeting. Those documents were handled after her 1997 death by later Met commissioners (primarily Sir Paul Condon, then Sir John Stevens during Operation Paget), not Imbert, who had already retired.

Diana's tragic death was a major moment but who remembers precise details of conversations nearly 30 years later ? Only Earl Spencer & the King know how true recent revelations revelations are but it's interesting that his book launch coincides with Harry's return.
