I've been working on my #ResidentEvil clone with #GodotEngine recently and many of the core gameplay features are implemented and working! This can then be used as a foundation for many other survival horror projects! #REBHFun #indiedev #IndieGameDev #indiegame #indiegames #godot

I love this. Are the backgrounds pre-rendered, or full 3D like Dino Crisis 1?

In this video it's full 3D, however you can use prerendered backgrounds too!

Secret mission footage leaking today wasn't on my to do list and yet here we are.

OH SHI...!!! NIGHTHAWK, I NEED EXTRACTION... NOW!!!

Awesome work!!!! A little tip to the zombie being shoot sound: $sfx.pitch_scale = randf_range(0.98,1.2) $sfx.play() this add variations and make it more dynamic, always numbers close to 1 (normal audio)

Than you! I'll give this a try later! I was going to make the zombie moan reactions RNG so it doesn't play the sound effect everytime it's shot, that idea along with a random change in pitch will be a very good combo indeed!!!

I played what u sent me and loved it. It's very early days but still u have done great

Indeed! I think the major thing that makes it look a tad janky is the fact it uses ripped models and unfinished animations, which is to be expected at this stage of development. My main focus right now, is getting the core gameplay finished and polished to an acceptable level! 😁

I'd love to see more games with the OG RE formula. I understand why Capcom needed to move on to the third-person shooter style, but it's great to see indie-devs fill in that void left behind.

Absolutely, and it's exciting seeing people use the OG RE style with unique twists or mashups with other genres! Crow Country comes to mind.
