I've briefly created SMC's Ruffle Brush and Soul Jam 3D. I found them extremely helpful in reducing work time. These brushes and 3D materials will be distributed later.

Visual Preset #01 Ink-Brush Cinematic 3D: A high-end cinematic 3D style where expressive ink-brush effects become the primary visual language for fast-paced anime action. Lately I've noticed that I've been experimenting with different visual presets across my videos and I'd like to explore that direction even further. Going forward, I'll be sharing some of these style experiments. The video below was generated using only a character sheet, a single-line scene description and the visual preset shown below. Created with Seedance 2.0 on Try ArtCraft Seedance 2.0 Prompt: A mesmerizing display of @[character]'s masterful swordsmanship. High-end cinematic 3D realism fused with expressive ink-brush action. High-sakuga anime choreography, sweeping sumi-e brush strokes, flowing ink splashes, dynamic calligraphic energy and graphic black ink trails define every movement. Extreme perspective, dramatic foreshortening, cinematic tracking shots, volumetric lighting, heavy atmospheric haze and explosive ink bursts replace conventional visual effects, while realistic materials and feature-film rendering preserve depth, weight and scale.

I had some spare ST3215 motors (and time), so I built these amazing actuators designed by Lethic and they work so well! Once I have a use for them in a project, I'll probably get the gears printed from a professional 3D printing service...

Going 3D meant I've had to learn OpenGL to make Fastest-lap look like a video game! To date, I am able to import models and move them around. Colors, textures, and decals coming next! This will be a game changer in vehicle dynamics! Analyses will be way clearer and enjoyable

My new favourite thing is using image edit models like 3D shaders, letting you add textures, effects and materials to practically anything We’ve been busy training a whole bunch of them and will be dropping them over on SYSTMS over the coming weeks 🫡

🪄 ChatGPT-5 Magic!🪄 I took the classic AI coding challenge into full 3D with our upcoming #FigminXR API — and my mind is blown 🤯 My AI built the 3D models using our Tilt Brush tools and brought them to life with it's *OWN* physics simulation! Code in the comments ⬇️

Bittersweet to share that today is my last day at Wealthsimple As I move on to a new role, I reflect on the amazing work we’ve made together in just under 2 years. I am extremely grateful for the opportunities to grow my craft as a 3D artist and motion designer and will forever cherish this moment in time with the stellar WS Brand team.

Space objects in 3D NASA created 3D models of stars and supernova remnants by combining data from the Chandra X-ray Observatory with computer calculations. These models can not only be viewed on the screen, but also printed on a 3D printer. Here they are, from left to right — the supernova remnant Cassiopeia A, the young star BP Tauri, the planetary nebula Cygnus Loop, and the supernova remnant G292.0+1.8.

I'm still playing with 3D storyboards for Seedance 2.0. Even when I ask for a 2D video, using a 3D storyboard often pushes the model toward a 3D look. I haven't tested it extensively yet but there definitely seems to be a bias. So 2D storyboards work better for 2D videos, while 3D storyboards are better suited for 3D or photorealistic outputs. Another thing I found is that my video prompt is already very detailed. If I remove the storyboard section and generate the video without attaching a storyboard, the model still follows the same beats. The main difference is the environment. With a storyboard, it tends to recreate an environment that closely matches the storyboard. I also think storyboards help with certain poses and compositions. If you're curious about the prompts, I've included them below.

I've had a chance to try an upcoming photorealistic Lens Sim plugin for Blender by Håvard Dalen , and in fact I prepared an extensive video review of it that will be out tomorrow. In brief: once Lens Sim is out, photoreal #3d rendering will never be the same. #b3d 🧵 1/?

IM SO HAPPY!! 🩷I finally have an off the shoulder jacket rig that I'm proud off! This is extremely hard to do in 3D and something that I've been trying to achieve for years -^u^- Now, it just needs some textures, accessories, and physics hehe

I do dread getting in and out of cars, though it has to be done and I've reached the point whereby I've actually found it to be extremely thrilling....not to mention more exciting than meeting in a bar or a night-club....more 'entry / exit' images to follow this week....😉👅🚗
