Presumably you’re following me because you find my content valuable. It takes me, on average, 5 hours to make each 3 minute video. I don’t just turn on the camera - I research and refine every word I say. Those videos are free. My time isn’t. I identified a useful service I can provide to humanity in exchange for money. If you don’t see the value, no problem. But many others do, and their purchase enables me to make content that you enjoy, for free. That is a sustainable relationship that benefits all parties involved.

Appreciate you taking the time to respond. I’ve always respected the way you break down complex topics so people can actually understand them. My comment wasn’t about the value you bring, but more about how the course launch came across. The rollout felt very similar to the typical ‘buy my course’ playbook (authority appeals, gated pricing, etc.), which felt a little off-brand compared to your usual style. There’s probably real value in what you’ve built, but I think a more transparent, less formulaic launch would better reflect the quality of your work.

@thatsKAIZEN Elon’s endorsement is huge and I don’t blame anyone for capitalizing on that moment. The issue wasn’t selling the course, it was the rollout leaning more on authority and urgency than clearly explaining the value. That’s what felt off-brand.

This is great! I took a class in college about media bias. We studied different news organizations and how vastly different they reported on the same events. It changed everything for me and how I view the media and what they say. Anymore, I cannot stomach any media. It’s all bs.

@elonmusk I’d prefer to have as few sponsors as possible. Having dependency on sponsors limits my ability to speak freely. This is the case even with the best sponsors.

I’ve become increasingly disillusioned with pundits who were supposed to be the answer to our deceptive MSM. We must evaluate them all individually. Being part of “the tribe,” the independent media, or the MSM doesn’t guarantee honesty or wisdom. Test ALL things.

Yes, this is absolutely the framing effect. You’re applying exactly what I teach - spotting when information is presented to influence your decision. I am framing option A as the better choice, which I genuinely believe it is for someone who wants to master these concepts effectively. I’m not hiding information or making false claims - I’m highlighting what I think gives you the best outcome while still giving you the choice. That said, if you think this crosses the line into manipulation, I’d genuinely want to hear why. The line between persuasion and manipulation isn’t always clear, and I want to stay on the right side of it.

I love that you are educating people about logical fallacies. As someone who has worked in news media for 30 years, I have a pro tip: when you see more than three adjectives in one article, reread it and ignore them. This gives you a sense of the bias being presented. Now, did you see my own logical fallacy and did that invalidate my point?

There are methods of spotting propaganda. 1. “The censors are always the liars” 2. “If the media is pushing a narrative, it is almost certainly a lie”. 3. “If people protect sacred cows, they are pushing for an agenda, not the truth”.

Wow! This is great. Just watched through the video explaining what ClearThinker is. The question is how we can get this out to people who just reads headlines and think they know the truth. At my work I hear a lot of people expressing ideas to the left, ideas I don't agree with.

Kaizen - I went to college in the mid 1980's. While there, I subscribed to the Christian Science Monitor newspaper. What I remember is that their Op-Eds ran both the Pro and Con columns next to each other. Which caused one to think about the problem as a whole.
