A cat walked by my house last night and immediately came in looking for food and water. It was thin, dirty but very friendly. My first thought, this has to be a house cat who lost its way. Then I saw it's ears, and hold up, this looks like a purebred cat. So I brought it to the vet to confirm, maybe it had a loving owner who put in a microchip, maybe it was already spayed/neutered. Unfortunately, the vet confirmed it's a female, less than 2 years old but already had babies. And it is an American curl. Most likely, a backyard breeder used her as a kitten mill, then threw her out when there was a problem? This is the heartbreaking reality of the irresponsible practices of backyard breeders. And why we have so many strays without homes. STOP SUPPORTING BACKYARD BREEDERS!!! ADOPT DON'T SHOP!!! By naddinky

Only problem is, since they installed it, you haven’t seen your cat, you get ready to take a bath and you hear scratching coming from the tub. You are now convinced your cat is under the tub, so you call the contractors back out, they cut a hole and out pops the cat. Only issue now is the contractor won’t pay for the tub replacement. Do you feel it was their fault or should the pet owner have blocked off the cat from the bathroom?

🚨WEIRD PAY ALERT🚨 We have ABANDONMENT!!! Also, there is an irony this happened in Philadelphia and it was a Cincinnati Reds prospect that did it! This is from the 4th inning of today's Future's Game. Alfredo Duno of the Chattanooga Lookouts grounds a ball to third, and the throw from Caleb Bonemer up the line, and caught by first baseman Ralphy Velazquez. Velazquez has the ball and is straddling the baseline, so there is no where for Duno to go, so he basically says "screw it" and leaves the basepath and heads to the dugout. You can't see it here, but the first base umpire made the two-handed sweeping gesture for out of the baseline, but since the player isn't so much avoiding the tag as he is just heading to the dugout without completing the play, this is abandonment. You score it just the same as if the out was completed in regular fashion, so this is a 5-3 groundout. #MLBFuturesGame #RingTheBell #ATOBTTR

Just a reminder to Sunnis who want unity with Iran and the Shia: this is what they portray during Ashura. They blame you for it and call you “Sons of Yazid.” They are still blaming you for the death of Hussein and his infant son over 1,000 years ago. Reminds you of anyone? It is literally a core dogma of the Shia sect to replace Sunnis and view them as enemies until they are no more. This behaviour is nothing new. This is exactly how Iran became Shia, through genocide and forced conversion under Shah Ismail. This is what they tried to do in Syria and what they continue to do in Iraq, with over a million Syrians and Iraqis killed since 2003. This is why they scream “Ya Zaynab!” when they fire artillery on Sunni cities. So, searching for unity with the Shia as a Sunni is like a lamb seeking unity with the butcher.

Not a change, but I've had a TON of folks asking if this is getting changed from June 10. This is a ball hit by Mookie Betts of the Los Angeles Dodgers and it was ruled an error on Jake Mangum of the Pittsburgh Pirates. The only thing I can think of is that Mookie didn't appeal, because this is a base hit, it's always been a base hit, and it will continue to be a base hit. Except on this one play. There is no way a sliding attempt like this is an error. I know Mangum broke the wrong way, but that doesn't factor it ... it's the catch, the physical catch, and there is ZERO CHANCE this is ordinary effort. I know we talk changes here, but this non-change is the most confounding one for me since Aaron Judge's first career walk-off hit, which was the most obvious fielder's choice of all time, but because it was the last play of the season, it didn't get appealed or changed.

Been wanting to film one of these because it happens so consistently and highlights a subtle but significant part of the V14 brain. Not only does V14 recognize collapsing lanes way sooner than V13 when it is in them and needs to get out, it also recognizes them when it is not in them, and is aware that vehicles inside of them need to get over. Here’s one of the many times I’ve witnessed V14 keeping space open for cars it knows will have to switch lanes.
