Look at that horizon! Hear the creaking! 🤢🥲 Not going to lie, I am struggling, mostly with the relentlessness of so many rough sea days one after the other. This definitely isn’t the roughest seas I’ve had and I’ve felt much much worse before, but never so many sea days in a row. 😅🚢 I’m so grateful I’m not a crew member because I am useless for anything much other than napping. I did have grand plans to catch up on a lot of work while here but that’s not happening. 😂😂 It’s a shame because she’s such a brilliant ship, the entertainment is great, the staff have been lovely and there’s lots of yummy food, but I don’t feel I can take full advantage of it. 🤢🥲 Ps, has anybody ever tried hypnotherapy for seasickness? I’ve tried every prevention and remedy in the world over the last 19 years and now I’d try anything. Seasickness is so miserable. 😅🙏🏼

Dear Genshin Impact fans, In my nodkrai video I said that Natlan’s music was nice but felt shallow, my mistake in this was not elaborating on why. I said it in passing and didn’t consider the word choice. I’m gathering that people assumed I was referring to the PLACES being represented by the music Which is preposterous because I would never criticize a culture or place, as I’ve always felt that is genshin’s strongest element. I assumed you would know it was obvious I was talking about the musical composition and structure not what that music represented (the people and the places) I’m sorry if you felt that I was spitting in the face of your culture. As a multicultural person myself and soon to be married to a multicultural person as well, I would never ever do that. I am saddened that you may have felt that. That said, subjectively, I felt natlan’s music was nice. But, a bit too easy listening to my taste. Part of the reason I have filmed so many Genshin videos is due to the musical complexity it showcases. Not just in the western soundscape but also in other regions that are represented. You’ll recall I defended this very thing a year ago when the music was representing African culture. At that time I was lambasted on this platform for saying that people of color were not being represented properly in game. I’m perplexed why you would think I’m suggesting the opposite now, even going so far as have people claim I am “racist” which is a bridge too far. In any event, I’m sorry for any hurt feelings. The past year has seen me have a renaissance, in the truest sense… I won’t go into details now but will at some point before long. What has brought so much happiness to my life and those around me this past year has been my falling back in love with sport. Cycling has, and always will be, my number one. Yet I’d forgotten that I simply love sport, not for results but for the sheer joy of doing it, I’d completely forgotten that the health of my mind is intrinsically connected to the health of my body. I’ve rediscovered the love I had for sport that existed before the world of professional cycling took over in the way it did. I’ve been pushing myself and trying new things this past year, indifferent to the results, just out having fun and at times going deeper than I thought I was capable of anymore. Last week I got on a TT bike for the first time in a decade, Factor Bikes built me a bike, I’ve been looking at it for two years and decided it was time to get fitted, getting back on it felt like going home. Anyway, the long and the short of this is that it’s inspired me to create a club to inspire and be inspired. A community for us to share our love for getting out there and doing it, because I’ve realized that although I spend most of my sporting life on my own I derive the most pleasure when feeling part of something. It’s in its early days, I’ve called it Sporting Club CHPT3 aka SCC3, I’d love you to check it out and join. It’s still in its infancy, but I hope it’s going to grow into something that will inspire you as much as me.

This tiny umeboshi has completely bewitched me. I want to add it to everything. What an amazing superfood. Tonight I made umeboshi onigiri three ways: chopped umeboshi mixed in with sides rolled in black and white sesame seeds; nori-wrapped with umeboshi plum in the center to look like the Hinomaru (Japanese flag); and umeboshi yaki onigiri stuffed with BBQ chicken, a dash of Japanese barbecue sauce, extra umeboshi—brushed with sesame oil and tamari while grilling—and sides rolled in furikake. Not sure if barbecue-stuffed onigiri is a thing, but it felt right to me. Out of all the onigiri I’ve made, these are my favorites. 🍙

I was just heading home and suddenly I heard DSYLM playing in the middle of the busy LA street. It was coming from a big restaurant right next to the Grammy Museum. What made it feel even more special is that there’s a major Kpop event happening nearby right now so as the song played, people walking by were literally humming along 😭 It felt like something out of a movie. No one planned it but the way the random crowd reacted so naturally... it just shows how much the song is resonating.... Catwoman uses a grapple gun to zip up to buildings and she has a built in wingsuit. #LegoBatmanGame We already knew this, I just wanted to see it in action in a free roam setting. I’ve started to make my peace with it somewhat. I’ve already made my peace with the wing suit, but the grapple will take and getting used to only because I think she should be able to utilize her whip as the grapple and please do not give me that thing about “it’s not long enough” she was able to utilize it in the Arkham games (please see my attached screenshot reference of me literally playing Arkham city right now and the whip length) and it didn’t even properly wrap around things and the length was inconsistent when she used it to get to the top of buildings I’m not saying that she needs to be able to scale the buildings like she doesn’t ask them because I understand the movement will not work like that in this game giving the open world, but it will be very nice if her grapple to zip up to buildings was replaced with her whip.
