But Mike Lee’s separate proposal to sell millions of acres (buried in Trump’s budget bill) is pure cronyism. The Sierra Club exposed how this would auction Utah’s red-rock country to developers while funding tax cuts for billionaires. Public lands generate $11B annually through energy/mining leases. Selling them off isn’t fiscal responsibility—it’s a wealth transfer from taxpayers to private interests. D.C. should audit existing land revenue streams before torching our national heritage.

Because you want to control it? Give it back to the states.
