3 years ago this month, I dropped “Love Cycle” ❤️ No one believed in this song when I first dropped it, but I had a gut feeling about it. So I Shot & edited the music video for it myself & tried my best to push it. This song ended up giving me my first #1 throughout Africa, gave me my first big collab on the remix with Davido 🐐 & took me from Brooklyn to being recognized on the other side of the world 🌎 Shoutout to Nigeria for being big supporters of this song 🇳🇬

A few months ago, I started exploring AI, music, and creativity with my son. He started showing a passion for music, so we decided to create an experimental music project that fuses all our passions. A musical exploration that blended our love for Trap hip-hop, metal, and anime gave birth to "Afraid2Sl33p." (attempting 🥹) claire de lune in 1 take i've been teaching myself piano with no prior music experience for ~6 months now.. this is only the 3rd song i learned. it's suuper challenging and a big step up from the last two... like there were some days i was straight up sobbing like a baby while practicing because i couldn't play how i wanted to lol.. i still have a long way to go but im sooo happy i stuck with it this far!! i hope to play more for you when i'm better 💙

With all this dancing going on, my sister asked if I still knew how to play the guitar. Yes, I still play music! I still have my songwriting practice to keep my heart in tune. Some weeks on the show, I try to learn the song I am dancing to. (Last week was Higher Love.) This little study has helped me appreciate and understand the songs even more, thus deepening the dance around it. I wonder which Taylor Swift song I’ll be learning! 😜 #DWTS
