After SNK went bankrupt in 2001, many of its developers moved to Sega Sammy-related companies. One of the games created by that talent on the Atomiswave platform was Dolphin Blue. One of the biggest differences from Metal Slug is its combination of 2D characters and 3D backgrounds, which blend together surprisingly well without feeling out of place. As for the soundtrack, this might just be my impression, but it feels like it borrowed a lot of the spirit of Metal Slug. Unlike Metal Slug, Dolphin Blue has a much brighter and more cheerful atmosphere, and the music fits the game perfectly. The gameplay is fast-paced and fun, but after a short while the difficulty spikes dramatically, and there are quite a few sections where the game slows down, which can hurt the overall experience. Unfortunately, it wasn’t commonly seen in arcades and was never ported to home consoles, so most people have probably never heard of it. It’s a solid game with a lot of charm, which makes it all the more disappointing that it never got the recognition it deserved.

the reason why i really like dbz, enough even to make it my pfp, it may come off as a shallow one to some but there is a substance to this series that is missed by many midcurves the story is ok, good enough for a saturday cartoon. i like vegetas character and dialogue, action is alright for the time, everyone is just a pretty alright funny cast member and whatnot really the reason i like that show so much is because it conveys, and is defined by a sort of male emotion i have never ever seen properly displayed anywhere else there are times when i get so beat down by life, when i am so humiliated by the world i wish i could explode everything around me and vaporize everyone and everything into thin air this is how it feels. this is how my body feels. i want to destroy everything that exists where else is this really portrayed so well? this WRATH many mistakenly call this show ethnic-coded, because it was one of the few shows on TV with punching and fighintg that the 13%ers of the 90s and y2k had to watch growing up, but this core feeling is pure concentrated aryan vril many white men of the modern day are so spiritually castrated they may correlate any sort of display of power with the impetuous hominids that populate urban districts, but make no mistake: every thinking feeling soulful man has a bit of this rage within him, and far too much media treats it as a character flaw, let alone a trait which would define a protagonist "spend most of your life ruled by another...watch your race dwindle to a handful...and then, tell me what has more meaning than your own strength." few.

It has that perfect balance: simply gorgeous to look at, deeply satisfying/addictive to play, challenging but never brutally punishing, and surprisingly complex for its era. And the music... wonderful! But most of all, it possesses that truly rare quality: endless replayability. You always find yourself saying “just one more thing”: one more industrial zone, one more power plant, one more police station to keep the crime rate at a semi-reasonable rate… and then, with a bit of spare cash, you decide your city needs a beautiful park! Before you know it, another hour has vanished. Some games feel truly timeless, and SimCity 2000 is one of them. Designed by Will Wright (who later created The Sims and the ambitious Spore), it stands as a high point of 90s game design. Ranking as the 9th best-selling game of the entire decade is mindblowing when you consider the sheer quality of titles released between 1990 and 2000. While it may not have delivered the same groundbreaking “wow” moment as the original SimCity, as a sequel it was a gigantic leap forward in every way. For a game that's now well over 3 decades old, it could easily be published today and still be a huge success.
