I’ve loved Tim since we were teachers at the same high school. Whether it’s on a farm, fishing boat, or football field, his commitment to service comes from the values we grew up with. I’m so happy the world now gets to know him.

Here we have two people in different phases of life end up working at the same place. In my years I’ve learned not to judge. We have a 32 year old man who had to work for everything he had as he climbed the ladder of life. On the other hand we have a teenager living with his parents while going to high school, with no bills and everything handed to him. Do you feel teenagers now are looked down on because they don’t know the struggle, or do you feel the older ones who did struggle are upset they weren’t given the same advantages as today’s teens?

I’ve seen so many fandoms in my life, but this thing we have for Dustin… it’s different. It’s special. It’s deep. Because we didn’t love him for the polished moments. In Stockton teachers opened up the gates to closed campuses allowing kids to run around the city unsupervised. Then a girl gets jumped by kids AND adults. Now what ? Parents drop their kid off at school expecting they will be safe to and now a girl is at home dealing with getting beat up. Homeschool. It’s the only way. Stockton and Lincoln unified better hope they can’t be sued.
