I’ve made a shortcut on Android to use ChatGPT instead of Google Assistant. And it’s a lot better. Anyone can use it: → Install the free app Automate → Import the file → Enter your OpenAI key → Add a widget on the home Here’s the steps to install it:

Huge thanks to @mckaywrigley who inspired me. He has created the same thing for iOS devices (see below). S/o to @charlierward for the inspiration too. The process to create this was entirely made by GPT-4. And of course to the #buildinpublic community.

Step 1 Download Automate from the PlayStore: And the .flo file:

Step 2 Launch Automate and press the 3 dots on the top right and press “Import”. Then select the .flo file. Make sure to check all the checkboxes.

Step 3 Click on the edit icon at the bottom left and then on the flow icon (not the label). In the block 5 replace API_KEY_HERE by your OpenAI key. Then just press SAVE on the top right.

Step 4 On your home screen, just add an Automate Flow shortcut widget. Click on GPT Voice, select the Untitled box and press OK.

That’s it! When you press your shortcut you can speak and ChatGPT will answer.

Way to unlock this for more users! 🥳

That's right! Let's build more for the community 🔥

OPENAI 👀: ChatGPT got a bunch of updates recently. Users can now automatically generate quizzes from the chat, search for reservations, add Google Drive files to the ChatGPT Library, and get better suggestions on the home page (paid plans only). h/t Adam Fry
