Unpopular opinion: there is no bigger group of insufferable pussies than Italians when it comes to food

I'm not gonna lie but I feel the same way when the spaghetti is broken in half... 🤣🤣🤣🤣

🤣🤣😭

she brokea the Spaghetti

I’m not even Italian and even I couldn’t help but do one of these:

when you hear that spaghetti snap in the kitchen

I got slapped up side my head by my Italian grandmother for cutting cooked past with my fork when I was 6 my dad laughed his ass off

My black ass has always split the spaghetti in half. It still taste good tho 🤷🏽♂️

As I get older the more fuckin dumb this becomes. I paid for the food and I’m still gonna eat it, who tf cares if I break it in half and make it better to eat?

I had no idea. I just wanted it to fit in the pot 🤣

As an American-Italian raised by an Italian grandmother from Italy and my first Gen mom, I can see why there is rage.

I never understood why this is a problem.

Italians are Food Fascists

Bialetti makes an oval pasta pot with a locking strainer lid. So it’s big enough to take full size pasta. 35 bucks on Amazon

I totally get it. My father hated it when my mother used a masher for refried beans. Until he was 10, he had been raised in Guadalajara. My grandmother used the underside of a cooking spoon to break up the beans. It was almost considered a crime to my dad.

Honestly, not Italian, and I don't break pasta before cooking it. There is no need if you know what you are doing.

Well they are easier to eat when shorter. And it's not like it does anything to the taste.

I'm NOT Italian, but what idiot breaks spaghetti? OMG. How can you twirl it on your fork if it's already in little pieces? The twirling part is important!

I don't care. I break it anyway. I don't like to spend half my time winding spaghetti around the fork!

This is even dumber when you ask why they get so butthurt. - Ruins the intended texture? Nope. Exactly the same texture regardless of length. - Makes the pasta harder to eat? Maybe if you're really stupid I guess.

An italian hears the sound of pasta breaking like I hear the sound of a cold beer being cracked open

Smfh

My great grandma did that when one of my aunts was in the kitchen helping cook Christmas dinner. This 4' 11" inch woman had a temper from the lowest depths of Hell, I'm not kidding. I was 4 that year and even now I remember that...

I think this is proof their honorary white cards should be revoked

If you know - you know!

I guess I’m not Italian because I break the spaghetti all the time😂

if it was just a bit shorter, it would fit into the pot without having to break it. now when you put it in, one side is in the water the other is out.

gotta get one of these for that weird middle burner

I'm Italian and I not only break the spaghetti, but I cut it up when it's in my plate. It pisses off other Italians, but I hate twirling my food in order to eat it. I don't make it for myself anymore. I like shells and elbow macaroni more than spaghetti.

Well....you really shouldn't break the spaghetti. On the other hand, you should use fresh pasta anyway.

@ThePoliticalPom thoughts? Lol

@ThePoliticalPom 👀

I like it broken into quarters. And Ramen, I crush that package before pouring it into water.

I believe the reasoning is because it is actually traditional to make handmade pasta which is a difficult craft. So it can come off as disrespectful to the time put in to hand crafted pasta. the difference between grocery store pasta and quality pasta.

@StarAuva 🤌What the fook is going on. Insanity. That's it. They sleep with the fishes. Not personal, it's business.
