I’ve never voted for a continuing resolution, but I’m voting for the CR on the Floor today. President Trump asked for this CR in order to enact Americans’ mandate. The Executive Branch is the only branch of government serious about cutting spending, despite my best efforts.

I think it is a breach of duty that Congress has to have a CR at this point. Fiscal 2025 budget was supposed to be in place by Oct 1st, 2024. Here we are almost 6 months later with no budget. I hope you are all working on Fiscal 2026. You only have 6 months to get it done.

Smart reform means tracking every public dollar and cutting what doesn't work. No exceptions.

1) The CR freezes spending (a win in the swamp). 2) No earmarks. 3) No giant omnibus. 4) Allows for the president to use impoundment. Congress MUST back the president on this.

I understand. I just really hope something changes before this comes up again in September. The House needs to start working on the budget bills immediately after this is done. No more CRs!
