Before Trump, this would have been considered very inappropriate. It would have triggered endless virtue signaling, and whoever posted it would likely have been identified and canceled. Today, just as it was before Obama, it is still inappropriate. The difference is that now it gets dismissed as humor. Nothing about the standard has changed. What has changed is the willingness to pretend that something inappropriate becomes acceptable simply because people choose to laugh at it.
