Amazing. The RN / @expo template should ship with CADisableMinimumFrameDurationOnPhone: true by default. It’s an easy miss.

Looks like the API to retrieve device frame rate was introduced in iOS 15, and probably that’s when the first iPhones with ProMotion started dropping
