I’ve seen concerns about the #ToxicTheMovie film team cutting down trees for their set at HMT layout Bengaluru. After checking Google Earth, it appears that the location has been mostly empty since 2012, with green patches in some years and again empty place, but not a dense forest. That said, I strongly oppose any harm to NATURE 🌳, and the team could’ve considered alternative places to avoid any impact on nature. Currently the case is in court. Márta Mészáros’s "Adoption" (1975) became the first Hungarian film to compete at the Berlin Film Festival in 1975. It was also the first movie directed by a woman filmmaker to win the Golden Bear, the festival's top honour. In 2019, "Adoption" returned to Berlin to screen in the Berlinale Classics program, and Mészáros was interviewed. She said, “With the Golden Bear, I had become a film director, not a woman who makes films. Fassbinder accepted me, and many others accepted me—Godard and the others. I entered the club not as a woman, but as a filmmaker.” She recalled that Agnès Varda, told her, "‘You’ve won now, the next time I will.’ She’s a good friend, I love her. While we help so many dogs on a daily basis when I go to sleep at night I always drift off thinking of the dogs I’ve been lucky enough to meet that are no longer with us. Tina, Snoop, Jumbo, Alba, Coconut and the dozens others I’ve lost. There is one boy who always pops into that with his big warm face and gentle nature... Derek. There never was a more gentle boy. A more gracious dog. He loved his little suite at the land and his last weeks in my house were just magical to have him. He could have gone alone and on the streets but he left with his dignity and a head full of beautiful memories for me. ❤️
