I’ve said this multiple times: public transportation in Chicago is not safe. I’d rather drive and deal with the traffic than take public transportation.

It's a routine practice for the white people on the platform to check which car has the fewest creepy black people before they all get on the same car. Even the young white liberals who would vehemently deny feeling unsafe around blacks do this

Never been safe. I saw/experienced so much on public. A similar situation occurred when I was on Blue Line. 5 men & myself- guess who tried to stop it? Guess who held up the train to get the police there? Me, not the men! Apalling! I was accosted & nearly jumped few times.
