It looks like a PIO (Pilot Induced Oscillation) was starting to take hold and they decided to go around out of an abundance of caution…it looks like they had it under control at the end though…

For anyone that isn’t aware porpoising is VERY dangerous and the oscillations can increase. Best position was a go around, which yes takes time to spool up the engines. Also the wind played a huge factor in this landing too. Mistake was covered by great decision to go around.

Although the plane is pretty much down, the go around decision would have been made before it had settled. Always best to be safe

Looks like wind shear there just before heavy touchdown. The bouncing tends to increase in oscillation, hence the decision to go around before control was totally lost.
