The main driver of the rise in inequality (to the extent that inequality has actually risen, GINI coefficient suggests it hasn't) is QE. Yet you never seem to talk about that. You just refer to a transfer of wealth from poor to rich without properly describing the mechanism. It wasn't furlough in itself that increased inequality, it was how it was financed (via QE) that drove a rise in asset prices.

What are you doing specifically about it besides selling your book? Genuine question.

There’s no point taxing the rich. None. I’ll tell you why. They can leave. That’s it. That’s what they are doing. The UK has more millionaires leaving than every country in the world except China. Taxing of the 0.1% needs to be done globally. The solution is to go back to a gold/silver standard. Start drilling for resources again (UK has plenty) stop net zero. Invest in productive assets and infrastructure

Champagne Socialist. This guy is a joke with his tax the rich message. He is everywhere these past few months, he is most likely an agent of some description, out here as a distraction. The vast majority of payroll tax is paid by the high earners, and there are record numbers of wealthy leaving the UK year on year to the likes of the UAE, where crime is zero, cost of living is lower, healthcare is worldclass, and the place is clean. Mobility of high earners is increasing constantly, who are you going to be shouting to tax when they are all gone. This clown wants you to give more money to the black hole of the corrupt Government, so they can piss it all away. The real problem is big Government, open borders, Gov over Spending and Central bank Currency debasement. Dont be fooled by this charlatan.
