FSD took me into the HOV lane yet again today despite me being the only passenger in the car. This time when I yanked it back into non-HOV lane and tried to engage FSD again, it blinked red asking me to take over immediately and displayed a message on screen saying FSD aborted due to system error. I had the strangest critical disengagement with FSD v14.3.6 last night. FSD tried to take an exit on the highway for no reason while we were already past the ramp. I seriously think FSD is getting more dangerous as it gets better. I wasn't expecting this at all from v14. It has been incredible in those conditions, creating complacency on my part. Thankfully, I was paying attention and was able to correct it before it fully committed and drove us into a ditch, but still. Scary.

Here is why I disengaged FSD 14.3.3. Before this clip starts, I could see a semi coming down the on ramp and saw that it had some momentum. FSD did not slow down but the truck in the right lane would have ran into the other semi and either had to brake real hard or switch lanes. I took over to make it clear to the semi driver that I would let them over. No big deal, would be nice, if FSD could have seen that coming and facilitated that move. Tesla AI

Almost got into an accident this afternoon while on FSD. FSD thought the FedEx truck would make its turn quicker. When it realized it couldn't, it tried to go around. At the same time, there was a car approaching in the right lane. I assume FSD calculated there was space for me in the right lane, but it really should have just slowed down. I had to slam on the brakes and steer the car to the left to avoid the driver side of my car clipping the trucks bumper. It was way too close for comfort. I have done tens of thousands of miles on FSD and have never had anything this close happen before.

Every day I disengage here. At least for the last four years before v14 I could scroll the speed down manually. You pass into the city going 55 mph when it’s 35 and a cop is sitting there and you will have a bad day. This is marked with the green sign, but it is also NC law that says if there is no posted speed in any town it defaults to 35 mph.

Critical Disengagement on FSD v14.3.7. Context: The car needed to leave the parking garage and go to HEB. It started from the second floor, made its way to the top floor, and I believe it tried to find a path through this metal wire fence. If it had gone through that, it was a 6 story drop to the ground. In the dashcam clip, it is clearly visible. You can see the car is at 4 mph throughout the whole turn and is not slowing down. It wasn't trying to park because the route was set to leave the parking garage, not park in it. Either way, driving at 4 mph inches from the fencing is not okay. I have an interior GoPro recording of the whole situation. It actually tried to drive into the fencing again after I restarted FSD. In thread 👇 Obviously since I disengaged, we don't know what it truly would have done. Maybe it would have made contact and stopped. This was as far as I was going to take it as someone responsible for the vehicle, so I believe this disengagement was fair. I mean you do have a very good point, however I hope you can understand where I come from. (Sorry I’m advance for the long tweet back) This is exactly what I use to do when I was their age. We didn’t have the luxury of an independent scene we do now and even if we did I was 14 years old, I was only allowed to go to a training school to learn the basics. But I had an enormous passion for the business & if I wasn’t allowed to work shows I’d do it myself. - and I’d argue that because of this I had a head start on a lot of the people I trained with when I finally turned 18 From there I’ve been lucky enough to have the support of friends, peers & fans to push me into what I am today. The fact I’ve still had that same style for now 17 years and this is my first surgery, I think I’ve looked after my body. Think about it 17 years this is my first major injury. You think this is stupid, I would say it’s equally as stupid as to fall off a scaffolding breaking both your legs. And while I’m sure there’s a few people that wished you landed on your head, I for one hope you’re doing well & not in too much pain from your injury. But to me, it showed the care that you have for the industry at that time. I see myself in these guys that are finding any outlet to do what they love. Their bumps are solid & basing is great. Like I said I understand there is a level of danger doing this so I hope none of them get hurt but I can’t help but root for these guys and hope I one day see them in a ring. Once again sorry for the long arse tweet and hope the message finds you well boss.

HW3 FSD v14 Lite- I just lost a 240 mile streak due to this issue going in reverse. I purposely waited for the woman in the white dress to pass before turning on FSD. It proceeded to try & run over the people walking behind it next. I had no other choice but to take over. 😞

Grandad nearly died. This is a joke from Work in Progress show Otley Courthouse last December. I did about 30 of these to write my new tour show. Many hundreds of jokes were goof but didn’t make the cut for the tour, like this. I’ve done lots of variants on this gag and never really got it where I want it. If you think I was too harsh or thinks you have a better take on it let me know.

After a lot of thinking, I’ve decided it’s time for me to step away from NBA Twitter. This community has given me a lot of great memories over the years, but I feel like I’ve outgrown this chapter of my life. Lately I’ve found a new passion that I want to put my full time and energy into, and I don’t think I can keep balancing both. To everyone who’s followed me, interacted with my posts, argued with me about basketball, laughed with me, or supported me along the way—thank you. I genuinely appreciate it more than you know. Maybe our paths will cross again someday, but for now, this feels like the right decision. Take care love all of you guys ❤️
