Ivor Robson. 1940 - 2023. A voice synonymous with The Open.

One of my proudest moments as a pro was when he announced me for the first time. Gave me goosebumps. Amazing life and career.

So surreal watching this. A great man and a legend on golf. Rest in Peace Ivor and thanks for giving me a moment I’ll never forget.

Ivor was truly the voice of The Open and a great face to see on the first tee regardless of your tee time … what a gentleman! Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and all of his friends throughout the golf world. RIP
