Yes indeedy! And UK teams are bitching about SA teams and travel and and and… turns out, SA teams really do elevate the game (rugby as a whole) and competitions they’re in! Maybe start seeing us 🇿🇦 as an amazing asset and not a hindrance!

I don’t know how far New Zealand thought they would go by throwing out South Africa. They are left playing against sides from countries that aren’t at the top of WR. It’s no wonder why there’s a bit of decline in NZ rugby - they need real competition.

Izzy is right from the NZ/AUS perspective. The lack of variety and difference and ideological/cultural approaches to the game they will miss. But, URC, Champs Cup = all what the RSA franchises needed plus cash and time zones… from RSA perspective, the respect stays but we move🏉

Agree 100%. Those games were epic. I’d always be a bit bleak if I missed SA teams vs any of the NZ sides, whereas I’d actively avoid Force or Rebels matches… The ideal format was Super 12… Every game was an epic game…

I also miss those classic early mornings waking up with a coffee to watch our teams battle it in NZ. It was a culture 😭
