Didn't have his best series, but last night was classic defensive god mode Jaccob Slavin
He clearly wasn’t at his best this year. So much missed time. Probably still not 100%. Could definitely see it wasn’t 74 at the height of his powers. But when it mattered most, he damn sure was.
So good. Unreal They need an award for defensive D. I get the value of pumping points from the blue line but recognizing who’s defending the best would be cool
He’s sublime. I could watch 60 minutes of him doing that.
Slavin had a below-his-standard series the first five games, IMO. Beat writers have said he's not 100%, but this game was a Slavin masterpiece.
He will be better next year after he fully heals. This was his worst season since his rookie year and he was good then. How ironic. Class dismissed.
The panthers and canes have proven the last 3 years that defense wins championships, sure you need offensive talent but they both play smothering systems that take away time and space better than anyone else, never stop moving their feet

Bussi set records in goal and I love him, but he did a lot of it by not facing a lot of shots The guys blocking shots and stealing pucks are heroes
Getting rid of the 2 line pass whistle was one of the best things the NHL has done rule wise...
@ryanwhitney6 Slavin played really, really badly most of the playoffs too. Crazy because his “really bad” is still pretty damn good because he can find his game at the right times
