Kristen Bell reveals Dax Shepard broke up with her, then called her back just four days later. “ He did break up with me very early on. I may have scared him a little because I wanted to spend all our time together. I was very excited, and he had just gotten out of a relationship and wanted more freedom. I don’t think he wanted everything I was presenting to him.” “ He sat me down and said, ‘I don’t think we’re in the same place. I really, really enjoy you.’ At that point, I was definitely in love with him. We were a month and a half in, and I was heartbroken. Even thinking about it breaks my heart.” “ He said, ‘I’m still casually dating other people.’ I definitely wasn’t. But he was very upfront. He said, ‘That’s not what you deserve, and I’m not going to give you anything half-assed.’ In a way, he was extremely responsible with my heart, even though he broke it.” “Then, four days later, he texted me: ‘I’m just joking. I can’t do this. I really would like to be with you again.’” “I went over to his house, but I was a little guarded. He had planned a trip to the Bahamas for New Year’s and said, ‘I should probably let them know if you’re going to come on the trip.’” “I said, ‘If you want to invite me on a trip, you can ask me like a lady.’” “I gave him some grief after that, and I think it set the tone for our relationship.” “My therapist had said, ‘Maybe make him earn you back just a little bit. Don’t play a game, but don’t go back like some happy, dumb puppy dog.’” “So he did. He said, ‘I would really like it if you would accompany me to the Bahamas for New Year’s. Would you like to come?’” “And I said, ‘Yes, I would love to.’”

My mom’s neighbor used to yell at my nephew all the time for no reason, he was only 5 years old when it happened. It got so bad I wouldn’t let him outside by himself anymore. On more than one occasion she would move her car when we walked by as if she was trying to bump him with her mirror. I left work and went over there to visit and when I pulled up I saw my mom outside having a screaming match with the neighbor. My nephew was standing behind my mom and I could see he was crying. I immediately went over there and asked what was going on.she said she came home from work and saw my nephew who I remind you is 5 years old, shirtless and running through a sprinkler in the front yard. She feels that he shouldn’t have been doing that in the front yard and how he was dressed inappropriately for all to see. I looked at him, he was shirtless and was wearing swim trunks and rubber water shoes. I was very confused as to what she meant by inappropriate. I told her he’s a little boy running around a sprinkler, it’s hot out and he wasn’t even close to her property. She said she didn’t care, it was the fact that he was out there shirtless and he shouldn’t have had to see it if he was doing it in the back yard like he was supposed to. My mom then chimed in and said she didn’t have to scream at him like that, he’s only 5 years old. The neighbor threatened to call the cops if she saw him running around shirtless again I told her to be my guest, he’s not doing anything wrong. I ended up calling her son who I grew up with, he and I were friends but as soon as he was old enough he ran out and never came back. He said his mom hated kids, she even treated him badly when he was a kid too and that’s why he left when he did. I ended up installing cameras there to document what was going on incase this escalated further.

“For a long time, I was a guest in our house” Thierry Henry speaks from his soul. He has depth. He’s a man in touch with himself. I recall some years ago, he spoke about how much he wanted to please his father on Steven Bartlett Diary of a CEO podcast. Everything he aimed to achieve was to please the voice that rang in his head, telling him to do it better. His father stood behind him while he built a career, probably saw the good many never saw. As a father, he also mentioned how COVID-19 changed his life. It was the point he chose his family. That was probably why he said at some point, he became a guest in his house. Men become guests in their house. There was a Reminisce Alaga interview I saw. I think it was on ISaidWhatISaidPod. He said there was a point he went into his daughter(s) room and asked when they painted the wall pink. His wife told him it’s been there for two years. He said that was the point he thought it important to rest on the tours and be with his children. At that point, he probably was a guest in his house. Men’s lives are not easy. Footballers especially — elite footballers most especially are like tour musicians. They’re often on the road. You’re playing away games round the country, spending three days or more away from home when you have continental away games. Gabriel Jesus spoke about the same thing in his recent interview with The Players’ Tribune titled “A Letter to My Family and my Arsenal Family”. He said football made him distant but his ACL injury brought him closer. “I wasn’t the husband and father that I needed to be,” he said. When his wife gave birth to his daughter, he said he only held her for one day. Brazil called and he had to go. And he was a guy who grew up without a father. For his child at the time, he was there now but wasn’t there too. “I always promised myself: When I become a father, I will always be there for my kids. “When Helena was born, I was not living up to that. I was there, but I was always distracted, you know? Always catching a flight.” That’s the tough decisions men have to make sometimes. At the point of growth and ascent, life will ask questions, and difficult decisions will need to be made. Hopefully, it will be one that won’t damage the future. The future one is securing.

Can any of my friends from the Boomer Generation answer this for me? Why are the Boomers so offended when ask to see their ID? This bank teller was explaining how she goes through this all the time. They always tell her that they’ve been banking there longer than she’s been alive. Showing an ID is just a simple measure to prevent fraud and theft, yet they yell at her for it. I ask because this happens to me all the time, even on the phone. Back at the pizza shop I would have an elderly man call in an order for food and most of the time he picks it up himself, no problem at all. However he started sending other people to pick it up as well as have other people calling the order. When the person picking up shows me his card which I recognize his name which had his photo on it, I won’t accept it without and ID as well, just a precaution. He then had to come all the way down there just to yell at me because obviously it’s for him and I shouldn’t have hassled him. I tried to explain to him when he calls it in and picks it up I know it’s him. However when others call it in and pick it up, I can’t verify if it’s actually legit or not, what if somebody stole his card and tried to use it. He still had an issue with it and explains that his grandkids should be able to use his card, I tell him that’s not how it works and if he kept giving my staff a hard time I would ban him from the store. I don’t need anybody threatening the workers over something meant to protect him. Should I just have let anybody use his card without verification at the shop? What if somebody did steal his card and spent his money, then he would have been mad at me for letting them do it.

Here’s Rivers’ full confession from tonight’s LUX TOUR Confessional with ROSALÍA: “When I was in high school, there was a boy I really liked. We talked, but we were ‘just friends,’ and as time went by, we got to know each other more. He would ask me out, and it started becoming something more. Then, one day, he told me he liked me and felt the same way. I was so excited, so hopeful. His birthday was coming up, and there was going to be Pal Norte, a festival here. I spent months saving money to take him to the festival. I even did raffles and everything, because I was 13 or 14 years old. When his birthday finally came, I had prepared a surprise for him, organized everything, and planned a special moment. When I gave him the gift, he saw what it was and got kind of weird. Then he told me, ‘Oh, it’s just that I have a family commitment,’ or whatever. Something like that. But he had been saying for months that he wanted to go, so it didn’t make any sense. I said, ‘Okay, fine, nothing happened.’ Since I had the extra tickets, I told a friend, ‘This is your opportunity, come with me.’ She was going to the festival too, so we went together. We were about to leave when, guess who I ran into at the festival? Him. With someone else, all cuddled up, and I think they were holding hands. And the worst part? Do you know who it was? A classmate. After that, I didn’t want anything to do with ‘Nati’ and I hated everyone for a long time. I spent several years not trusting anyone and not wanting to meet people in that way. But it was an experience, and eventually I realized it didn’t have to be that way.”

When I wait in line usually all the people are so chill and excited to get their hands on their new item they want. I’ve been in line where people order pizzas for everybody, I’ve had some moms hand out water and snacks for people. When I waited for the Nintendo Wii at Target, I brought a few cases of soda and cookies for anybody who wanted some. Needless to say it’s normally a good time but there are occasions when it’s not. A man who was notorious for cutting lines and claims he was already there gets called out. It gets so bad that a man who had his kids with him waiting in line had to show him he had a weapon for him to back off. When I was waiting in line for the Xbox 360 it was already tense since Microsoft announced there would not be enough to go around. But nobody prepared themselves for the actual number they were getting. Walmart was going to release it at midnight so when I got off work, I headed 10 minutes down the street to the Macedonia Walmart. People were waiting in line at the electronics department. I was 4th in line. The the person in front of me looked like a middle aged man, all he could talk about was how he was going to sell it on EBay for $1000. We overheard him talking on the phone with friends telling them to come down and each buy one for him, he would give them the money for it and then they could sell more on EBay. By the time his friends came, the line was all the way to the front of the store, it was crazy how many people were in line already. There was only an hour left to wait. When his friends got there he flagged them to join him in line. They casually walked to the front and got in line with him, I went from 4th in line to 6th in line. I told him this wasn’t allowed and his friends had to go to the end. He claimed he was saving a spot for them, I told him I heard his call and that was 5 hours ago, didn’t matter anyways because they were never there. I called for a manager. But right as that happened, an employee came out and gave a voucher for the system to the first and second in line. He apologized that they only had two total systems on hand only. I was already angry at that time because of the guys who cut me in line, I was like you seen us wait here since 6pm, why didn’t you tell us at that time you only had 2, you made us wait here for nothing. People were angry and left. I hurried up and drove a half an hour to fairlawn because I knew the US Merchandise store would have it and that most people didn’t know that. The only problem was that they weren’t releasing until the store opened at 9am the next day. So after waiting 5 hours I went and waited another 9 hours and was able to get one.
