The relationship between Trevon Diggs and the #Cowboys has reportedly “soured” and may be “severed,” per Jordan Schultz. If this truly is the end, we may be watching the final highlights of Trevon Diggs in a Cowboys uniform, and that’s wild to even think about. It’s hard to justify not playing a healthy, All-Pro caliber corner, especially when this defense has struggled on the outside. Now, if this really comes down to accountability, rules, or not following the game plan, then I understand the team’s stance. Standards matter. Culture matters. But man… the Cowboys need healthy corners, badly. And they need them on the field, not on the sideline. This situation is messy. This situation is real. We may all need to prepare for the possibility that Trevon Diggs is no longer part of the Cowboys’ future. And for any new defensive backs joining this team, understand how quickly things can change in this league. Take your time when recovering from injuries. There is no need to rush back. Once you return and don’t look the same, or if trust breaks down with the coaching staff, the league will move on just as fast.

The Cowboys NOT trading draft capital before the deadline doesn’t make sense to me for three reasons. 1. You give up on the leagues best offense 2. You give up on 2026 & beyond 3. You arrogantly assume you’re a much better “draft & develop” team than ANY franchise truly is. Rookies take time in most cases and they’re never a guarantee. The narrative is “1 player won’t save this defense” when in reality that thought process was disproven by Micah in his tenure with the Cowboys. Cowboys defense w/ Micah: #1 EPA per play Cowboys defense w/out Micah: #32 in EPA per play If one GUARANTEED veteran can’t help me… then two rookies in 2026 won’t either. Take the guaranteed asset if you can get him & push the chips towards the middle of the table. That #1 offense ain’t going anywhere.

There is a right way to play this game and a wrong way and this is 100% in the wrong. I don’t care that the batter moved back out of the box- you don’t intentionally step back to throw at her head, as hard as you can, from about a foot away. I don’t want to hear “you don’t know it wasn’t intentional.” Save it. The runner at 3rd is about a half step off 3rd. The way the catcher is positioned to throw, that throw is going towards the 3rd base fence. The most telling part though? No one checks on that batter and catcher gets a high five right after from her coach. The batter ended up with a concussion. This is completely unacceptable and has no place in this sport.
