🦮 for real, sunghoon’s the same age but it took me a long time 👤 to drop formal speech? 🦮 yeah 👤: Sunghoon and Jaeyun are super close, right? How did you guys get so close? 🐩: Oh, first~ since we’re the same age, we talked a lot from the start~ 👤: Who was the one… like, who was more proactive(?) about it? 🐩: I think it was me! Because at first, he was using formal speech ㅋㅋㅋ. (Jake) couldn’t use casual speech ㅋㅋ. #JAKE #SUNGHOON

ni-ki said he’s excited about figure skating because of his sunghoon hyung 🥹 q. what’s your favorite Winter Olympics event? 🐥 I think figure skating is the one I’m most excited about. since sunghoon hyung is going to Milan now, and since one of our members used to be a figure skater, I naturally feel even more interested in it. #SUNGHOON #NI_KI

🦮: so..when i see things like injections, i get really scared. 🐩: you have a needle phobia, don’t you? 🦮: needle phobia… 🐩: he’s a baby…becoz he’s scared of needles. 🦮: no, now it’s fine..i mean, i rarely got injections when i was in Australia. 🐩: Jaeyunie…Jake claimed he’d already built up a tolerance to Albothyl (canker sores medicine) so he doesn’t need to apply it, but if you ask me, he's just not using it because it hurts. he can’t handle injections either. 🦮: Sunghoon always teases me, saying i’m scared of shots…but i’m not scared, it’s just that my heart races when i see something sharp, i don’t think i’m scared, but somehow my heart beats fast, and i break out in a cold sweat… #JAKE #SUNGHOON

Honestly, I never expected Jake to get an intro or solo part during their performances because I’d been disappointed so many times before 😅 But in the past few award shows, he’s finally been given those opportunities ++ He used to be placed on the side or at the back, and now he’s even the center during dance breaks. It really makes me emotional. Jungwon once said that Jake was praised for how much his dancing has improved, and I can truly feel that. Thank you to everyone who gave Jake the chance to show his abilities 🥹🤍 and hope all of members can get the same chance. Proud of you, my Jake 🫳🫳 Can’t wait to see what else will amaze us in the next comeback 😭🔥 #ENHYPEN #JAKE #엔하이픈_제이크 #ジェイク

an instagram post from ryu jaejun who trained sunghoon before. this is such an endearing message. “i went to an enhypen concert at sunghoon’s invitation. sunghoon, whom i coached for five years during his figure skating days, was very shy and introverted back then, but when it came to sports, he was a quiet kid who worked incredibly hard. when i asked him if it wasn't difficult to balance figure skating and being an idol trainee, the teenage boy would always say he enjoyed it so much that he didn't even feel the hardship. now, he has grown into a wonderful idol and singer who travels the world holding concerts. seeing him captivate the audience and communicate with fans without a trace of his introverted personality made me think about how much effort he must have put in all this time. it definitely couldn't have been easy for someone with sunghoon’s personality, but rather than seeming difficult, it just looked admirable and impressive. (it seems his persistence and grit from his athletic days really helped him during his trainee period.) one important lesson i felt today: when people are doing what they love, they can change endlessly and grow in any way. just like enhypen’s sunghoon.” #sunghoon #성훈

Since most of this year’s hashtags come from Sunghoon’s iconic memes, here’s an explanation of each one: 1. 내가 오늘생일인 박성훈이다 “I am Park Sunghoon” meme: A winter meme in Korea. When roads get icy, people joke, “I’m not Park Sunghoon,” meaning it’s hard to walk on ice because they don’t have Sunghoon’s skating skills. It goes viral every winter 2. 진짜잘노는 성훈생일이래 Sunghoon’s famous “He really knows how to have fun” meme: This started from a story where someone did Sunghoon’s TikTok dance at a club, and a guy next to her said, “Wow, you really know how to have fun” It became a huge trend in Korea 3. 훈선대원군 성훈생일상 대령하라 Hoonseondaewongun: A nickname based on Heungseon Daewongun (a historical figure known for isolationist policies). Fans gave Sunghoon this name because during Weverse Lives he usually reads Korean comments more than English ones, so even international fans end up typing in Korean when he’s live 4. 누구생일인가봐 웅성웅성훈 (“All the chatter… guess it’s Sunghoon’s birthday!”): This was another tweet that went viral in Korea. When a teacher asked the students what ‘husband’ means, one girl answered ‘Park Sunghoon’

So 02z and Sunoo all went to Japan during the break, and we have Jungwon who flew all the way to Iceland. 🥹 Jay with Glay in Hakodate, Hokkaido 🇯🇵 Jake and Sunghoon with their parents in Niseko, Hokkaido 🇯🇵 Sunoo with his friend in Osaka 🇯🇵 Jungwon with his family in Iceland 🇮🇸 It’s nice to know that they all had an uninterrupted, well-deserved break with their family and friends after 6 years of working nonstop. 🤍

INSTAGRAM | 250504 SUNGHOON’s former figure skating coach from his time as an athlete attended the BLOOD SAGA IN SEOUL concert and shared a post about #SUNGHOON ‘I attended ENHYPEN’s concert after being invited by Sunghoonie. I had coached Sunghoonie for five years during his time as a figure skating athlete. Back then, he was very shy and introverted, but in sports he was extremely hardworking, a quiet yet relentless “tough” worker. When I asked him during his time balancing figure skating and idol trainee life whether it was difficult, he would always say he was so happy he didn’t even feel the hardship. That teenage boy has now grown into a remarkable idol and singer who tours the world. His once-introverted personality seems to have disappeared, as he now captivates audiences and communicates with fans so naturally, making me think about how much effort he must have put in over the years. It surely was not easy given his personality, but rather than feeling proud or simply impressed, I found him admirable, remarkable, and truly worthy of respect. (His strong, determined mindset from his athletic days must have definitely helped him during his trainee period.) One important lesson I felt today is that people can change as much as they want when they are doing what they love, and they can grow in any direction. Just like Sunghoon of ENHYPEN.’ #EN_WORLDTOUR_BLOODSAGA #BLOODSAGA_IN_SEOUL
