I have a friend who doesn't read anything published in the past 50 years, and the more I think about it, the more I think he's onto something. The reason is that time is the best filter we have for quality. People are bad at judging quality in the moment but very good at getting rid of junk over time. — — "History is not very good at capturing all that is great in art. It is not good at that. There are many great symphonies that have been lost permanently, there are many great painters that died unknown and their paintings are gone, there's novels that have been written that no one will ever read. Buckle Up? We've Been Buckled For Years Bud New hopium dropped this week that 2020 will finally be revealed and we're being reminded for the umpteenth time to buckle up and hold the line. This is why I do what I do- I believe in fair play, getting on in life and that everyone should have a good life. But the elites are laughing at us- raking in the cash, chums getting plum jobs while my constituents can't pay their bills. I don't act from ideology- I act for what's best for people. My message has struck a chord because no matter your political opinion, we all agree that our lives are not getting better whilst the elites are thriving. Something has to change. I think it's worth building consensus on that so that all of our people have better lives and that power is held to account. No more elites shafting the little guy and rubbing our face in it!

I guess Charles Hoskinson makes a good point. And yes, it's right. Our lives were not different back in 2021 when Cardano was at $100B mcap. And I do think most people are angry because $ADA is tanking. But it's been 5 years since then and nothing has changed. We didn't change the world. We didn't change our lives. We are pretty much in same situation just with less money (or at least the diamond hands lol). Yet I have 2 questions: - Is the mission still to change the world? That's what I signed up for, but it feels more far away than last year. - If IOG gets funded every year for the next 5, will we achieve that? If that's a yes for both, I'm happy with that answer. I still do believe some of the proposals should've been revisited. But I'm a nobody, just a random Saturday opinion.

There are Asian friends who are whose economies are tanking. Americans are about to suffer through higher prices, inflation is the economy is already not looking good. And when you think about the shocks to air travel and shipping and energy, and then what are they spending their time on?
