State Farm, my insurer for decades, canceled my insurance and everyone in our immediate neighborhood just before the fire. State Farm WASN’T there, no matter how much they tell you otherwise in their stupid commercial jingles.

@RealJamesWoods Why? Because the state of california made it impossible for them to do business in california. Blame the politicians of california, not the insurance providers.

@RealJamesWoods Weren’t there also caps implemented by CA govt on how much insurers could charge for fire coverage?

@RealJamesWoods 🧐 Corruption everywhere!

California has the nation’s highest housing costs. Some blame a housing shortage; others, government policies. We sit down with experts to explore what’s driving costs and discuss the state-mandated Housing Development initiative and why some cities push back.

State Farm was unable to remain competitive due to CA legislation that would not allow them to adjust rates accordingly after a decade of losses. They didn’t cancel anyone, they non-renewed accordingly and there was no choice. Insurance is the only product out there that forward funds your entire investment. They couldn’t sustain with what the legislation passed. They are not non-profits.

@RealJamesWoods

If they didn’t pull out of California, the company would have had huge losses that were clearly foreseen. Hurting rates for others outside California. The losses would have been subsidized by those outside California. Not fair to those in States whose state government actually uses preventative measures to prevent fires. California is to blame for all their problems. Nobody wants to do business there. The state govt is a disaster.

@RealJamesWoods Notice that Newsom hasn't trashed the insurance companies yet. Why is that? Would that expose something worse? #zelena #yulioli #Javier #helevier #shailenzo #tommavi #yulia #giglio #GrandeFratello

@RealJamesWoods The insurance companies love 69% number dont they? Mine went up 69% last year. 69% bigly increase insane is what it is!

@RealJamesWoods 😧 That’s crazy! Let’s pray it goes down this year!!

@RealJamesWoods They predicted what was coming and cancelled policies. A fire like this one would have bankrupted the company and affected the rest of their policy holders across the US. Newsome and his ilk really need to resign. He’s not leaving on his own though, and he won’t resign.
