🚨Naval Ravikant on Elon Musk: "Elon is the real deal. There's a story I read about him that affected me. Bill Gates had just taken out a big short on Tesla and Elon said 'Why would you do that?' Bill said he spoke to his financial advisors and they said it made sense. Elon said 'What do you need money for? I thought you cared about climate, etc. What are you doing?' and then he walked away in disgust and never talked to Bill Gates after that. Elon's a purist, he means what he says. The money is a tool for him to do what he wants to do. I take him at face value. I really believe he intends to get to Mars, that's not a joke. And he means to get there within a defined window of time. I don't think that's an inspirational goal, I think he'll do whatever it takes. Elon doesn't want to go down in history as the electric car guy, or the 'I saved America' guy, he wants to go down as the guy who got humanity to the stars. First, I just want to say if you ever feel like you need to disengage from FSD, you should do what you feel is necessary. However, there is a difference between what you THINK it would have done and what it ACTUALLY would have done. Here is a prime example in the video below. Some people would have disengaged when that white SUV crossed and said “FSD was about to go in front of that car.” But it didn’t; you just thought it would. And again with that silver crossover, some people would disengage there and say “OMG FSD almost pulled in front of a car.” But again, it didn’t; you just thought it would, so you disengage. Could this be improved? Absolutely, but the system is actually better than some people think for this exact reason.

You go and rent a room as part of a retreat, everything is good until at night sometimes you think you are being watched, it’s an uneasy feeling you can’t get over, so you look out your window and you see a man, from the distance and perspective he looks like he’s almost 8ft fall, could be the snow creating the illusion. What makes it so creepy is how incredibly still he is, just standing there, no movement at all. You feel terrified, you call the police and just sit there and stare until they arrive and address it. With such a bad impression would you bother staying there anymore? He wasn’t charged with anything, just asked to leave, what if you stay and he comes back?
