I deeply appreciate the efforts of our 5-member delegation who visited the border districts of Poonch and Rajouri, recently affected by cross-border shelling. They met grieving families, shared in their sorrow, and offered words of comfort and support during this time of immense pain. The delegation also visited the Government Medical College in Rajouri to check on those injured and undergoing treatment. They interacted with the attending doctors and conveyed deep appreciation for their service. In moments of crisis, what the people need most is the healing touch of compassion, and I am deeply grateful to our delegation for offering just that. It reaffirms our collective promise that as public representatives, we will always stand by the people in their hour of need.

Good job by Jammu Police👍 With the assurance of a fair and transparent criminal investigation by the SIT, the unrest in the community caused by the death of a Jammu Gujjar youth has been resolved in 24 hours. Anybody having caused the death of a recently married youth of a poor family with unwarranted and unauthorized firing must be brought to justice in a credible, transparent and timebound criminal investigation and trial.

Have been travelling and still catching up with the toxic JK Assembly debates. Whatever I have caught on with due to concerned Jammu province folks sharing with me, feels like doomsday scrolling. Here NC leader Javed Rana not only denies Jammu Kashmir’s history but also gaslights the Dogras who founded the modern state of Jammu Kashmir and extended India’s boundaries to the northern most frontiers. Also notably he says “MINORITY CAN’T RULE MAJORITY”. So much to unpack in this bigoted statement. Demographic changes and the state of Hindus and other minorities in Jammu Kashmir amongst other things. Cannot be reiterated enough that the elections were premature and divisive communal forces have been emboldened, endangering Hindus of Jammu Kashmir and all the people of Jammu region. #SaveJammu
