After talks with the government, CJP Chief Spokesperson Saurav Das said the Centre has accepted the group's second key demand to withdraw FIRs filed against protesters in Delhi and BJP-ruled or BJP-allied states. They will be closing all the FIRs. Along with that, in the previous order, there was a line stating that no action will be taken against any protestor who does not have criminal antecedents. Today, the court clarified that criminal antecedents would only mean heinous crimes like murder and rape…it ensures that regular students, protestors, and even students who have engaged in political protests in the past will not face any legal problems in the future, and all FIRs against them will be closed…we are waiting for the written order to come. In view of the withdrawal of the police complaint by the parents of the students against the management of Success School, allegedly under pressure, VakeelSaab⚖️ lodging an independent police complaint against the management of Success School. No amount of pressure or intimidation should prevent a fair and impartial investigation. If allegations involving religious coercion of minor students have been made, they deserve to be examined strictly in accordance with law. The police should register the complaint, conduct a fair investigation, and take appropriate legal action based on the evidence, without fear or favour.

I’m happy to announce that we have made significant progress in the case involving Ahmed Tajudeen. The Nigeria Police Force, through the FCID (Force Criminal Investigation Department), has commenced a fresh investigation into the matter. Investigators have visited Ahmed at the hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment for kidney-related health issues, to obtain a fresh statement. Our goal remains clear: to ensure that no innocent person is sent to prison for a crime they did not commit. I have also been asked to submit all the evidence in my possession to the police to aid their investigation. Therefore, I will no longer be speaking publicly about the case for now, as I do not want to interfere with the ongoing investigation. However, I will be monitoring the process closely, and if I notice anything suspicious, I will not hesitate to speak out.
