Japanese Devs don't jump around different studios like in the West because places like Nintendo, Capcom, SEGA etc. take good care of their staff, devs have a lot of job security and culturally it's not the norm. This can make it tricky recruiting Japanese Devs at Indie Studios

This is the TYPE of ART that only Indie devs can create, while Triple A devs spend all their time making another Souls Like game

This SFW variation of Rock Paper Scissors is by far the most INTENSE and CHARMING game I played in a while. Triple A Devs have struggled to make winning games feel important since the early days of multiplayer. However Indie devs can make the simplest games have VALUE.

During the development of Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, Nintendo devs flew to the U.S. to meet Retro Studios artists and handed them pantone chips for DK's fur colour. The devs thought that was weird cause once you add lighting it won't look like that anyway lol.

I sure love this. This is the kind of thing indie devs can never do. I hope for tools that make custom shaders like this will become a thing as AI gets better.

In this new Indie game I CANT tell if they are real people or not. The faces are HYPER REALISTIC but there is something EXTREMELY UNCANNY about how they move and look from different angles. Anyway I think Japanese Devs could put this Technology to good use.

Check out some Bo Staff attacks in Assassin's Creed Shadows: Claws of Awaji! You can use the Bo Staff has 6 different stances which means 6 different executions & it comes with abilities to assign like these👇 It took 14 months for the devs to perfect this weapon!

Mert explains the Zcash FUD “It seems like everyone got faked out by like a few slop content creator types and then Grok summarised it falsely” “There was this news that the Zcash devs left but all that happened was the devs went from a foundation structure to a tech startup/ labs structure. It was just a whole lot of shenanigans”

This indie dev is building a 4-player co-op submarine extraction game. I tested it and still a bit early but the idea has a lot of potential. For $3.5 you get what you pay for. I recommend it if you like supporting indie devs early.

New menu is great, especially the skin/model viewer, you can really zoom in close and see the details of your skins. It's not working for every skin yet, but most are. Good job facepunch devs. #Rust

Matthew Kratter on why the spam war feels like a psyop: "A lot of these Core devs don't own much Bitcoin at all. They don't even run nodes. There's a misalignment of incentives. It's terrifying to see Bitcoin in the hands of devs who view it as just another software gig. You begin to feel like you're taking crazy pills — why am I arguing with master C programmers who suddenly don't know what spam is? It's a very strange time to be alive." Matthew R. Kratter #BIP-110 on The The Bitcoin Matrix Podcast ⚡️

“They’re not a good team. I don't care what their record is. They have a lot of wild pitches, they make a lot of mistakes in the field, and they don't run the bases well.”

Pulseman for the Mega Drive (by Game Freak/1994) was released exclusively in Japan, but in 1995 it was made available in North America via the Sega Channel service. It's regarded as a high-quality "hidden gem" and many of its devs became key staff on the Pokémon series later. ⚡

This is my favorite anti-tank rifle. It's from World War I. I know it's not the best, but it's cool because it looks like a real rifle, instead of a technological nightmare (like the Finnish and Japanese weapons). It only has a pistol grip because it's impossible to wrap your hand around the giant stock.

Supabase is winning in part because we're what Parker Conrad calls a "compound startup" He does an excellent job here of articulating the five specific advantages this gives to multi-product companies like Supabase and more importantly - to the devs that choose us
