Philip Mulryne once had the life many young men dream of. He was a professional footballer who played for Manchester United, Norwich City, and the Northern Ireland national team, earning 27 international caps. At the height of his career, he was reportedly earning around half a million pounds per year. After leaving football in 2008, he officially retired in 2009 and began formation for the Catholic priesthood. Mulryne later explained that football had given him privilege, comfort, and success, but not the peace he expected. He said he was shocked to realize that, even with the kind of life many young men desire, there was still a deep emptiness beneath it. That search led him back to the faith. In 2009, he entered Saint Malachy’s Seminary in Belfast. He studied philosophy at Queen’s University Belfast and theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. In 2012, he entered the Dominican Order. On July 8, 2017, Philip Mulryne was ordained a Catholic priest at St Saviour’s in Dublin. At his ordination, Archbishop Di Noia connected his life as an athlete to his priestly vocation, saying that his experience in football had helped prepare him for the priesthood because he already understood discipline, sacrifice, and working toward a goal. Now, that goal was Christ. Philip Mulryne left behind professional football, money, and public success to serve God as a priest. This Dividion 3 baseball player was given a tounge lashing by his coach for not hustling out of the batter’s box and admiring his homerun. The coach yells at him to hustle because he doesn’t know if it’s going to be a home run and he needs to hustle. He tells him if he ever does that again, it will be his last at bat there. Some are saying the coach is being ridiculous, let the player have fun. Others are saying the coach was right on the money and that’s what is wrong with players today- too much showboating. What do you think? Do you think the coach overacted or do you think he was correct?

Don’t coach 12, 13 or 14 year olds as if you’re Manchester United preparing for a Champions League game.”

My buddy Ramon van Meer is a single dad and runs a great company. He somehow has enough time to coach middle school football. Now fyi this isn’t his son’s team. Years ago he coached his kids team and the younger kids heard about him and asked if he’d couch theirs. Also, up until he started coaching, Ramon barely knew was football was (he’s Dutch). He had to read like five books! He shows up every game with like $30 in $5 Starbucks gift cards and hands em out as prizes for different players. Well, today he was asked to come speak to the entire middle school where he coaches football. They asked him because the kids kept bragging how inspirational he is and how much they love him. I’m so freakin proud of Ramon. He inspires me so much.

At the violent Antifa insurrection of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement building on June 17, Portland Antifa militant and licensed practical nurse Tyler Brett Cox, 40, was arrested for allegedly hurling a rock at a federal officer. Cox was charged with attempted assault of an officer and fourth-degree attempted assault. He was immediately released without bail. In September 2020, Cox (pictured below) was involved in a very violent Antifa riot where he was charged with felony assault of an officer, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and more. Cox was filmed on video hitting off an officer's helmet to get at the officer's face before he was punched into submission. DA Mike Schmidt's office dropped all the charges, and Cox sued the city and the officer. Because Cox wasn't held accountable in 2020, he has returned to Antifa street activities again in 2025.

The tactics he uses are not the tactics of a refined defense attorney.” Considering he is now fundraising for him and openly supporting his witness intimidation and harassment, I guess that arm’s length got shorter, and I think we all know at this point that their tactics are pretty similar.
