Spielberg wished to prove his worth in following films and never worked with Fields again. It should be said that from Jaws (1975) until Fields' death, Spielberg only made three films: Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977), 1941 (1979), and Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981).

I went with some friends to see Jaws on the 4th of July. It remains the greatest audience participation movie I have ever seen. people screaming, yelling at the screen, threw popcorn in the air and hugged at the ending.
