Here Abdul Carter defends his public trashing of his teammate, Jaxson Dart, and causing a national ruckus on social media. As a lifelong New York Giants fan, I'm disgusted by Abdul Carter. Carter, on social media, called out his teammate Jaxson Dart, the NY Giants QB, for having the temerity to introduce the President of the United States at an event in New York. The content of Dart's introduction was innocuous, and non partisan. Here's what Carter says: "Some things are bigger than football, and this is one of those things. Jaxson is one of our leaders - he's the face of our franchise. He represents himself and what he does, and he represents all of us. If he chooses to align himself with a man like President Trump, it's my responsibility based on what I believe and what I stand on to not only show my teammates that I'm against that, but to show the world." And exactly why does Carter think he has a moral duty to trash his teammate to the world over a difference in political outlook? But here's the thing. Carter says he idolizes Giants great Lawrence Taylor, who is an outspoken supporter of President Trump, who actively campaigned for President Trump. So doesn't Carter have any problem with Lawrence Taylor? Carter arrogantly even asked the team to be able to wear Lawrence Taylor's #56 . . . . . . even though Carter had only arrived as a rookie, had not played a single game for the Giants, and had not yet achieved anything on the field for the Giants. Carter was told "NO," LT's number is retired forever. Carter then went on to grossly underperform, playing the same position as Taylor -- outside linebacker and edge rusher. He got only 4 sacks for the entire season. For Lawrence Taylor, getting 4 sacks in a single game was just another day at the office. Taylor, of course, is the greatest defensive player in NFL history -- generally considered the 2nd or 3rd greatest player in NFL history behind Jim Brown and Tom Brady. Abdul Carter caused trouble for the Giants his entire rookie season. He was often late to practice. He was benched for the start of one game as punishment for missing a team meeting in favor of napping. Carter did not appear to be putting in full effort in practices or in games. He was an entitled bellyacher and a complainer his entire rookie year. Meanwhile, Jaxson Dart over-performed expectations for his rookie year. He was also drafted in the first round, though lower than Carter. Dart is widely considered a rising star at QB. He played in 12 games, passed for 2,272 yards, 15 touchdown passes against just 5 interceptions. He also rushed for 487 yards and had 9 rushing touchdowns. He was named Offensive Rookie of the Month for October. So Dart had a much better rookie season (by miles) than Abdul Carter, who was advertised as possibly the next Lawrence Taylor. Not only is Carter no Lawrence Taylor, he should not even have been drafted in the first round based on his rookie year performance. Dart is a player the Giants can build a team around. And he's a great kid any parent would be proud of. By contrast, Carter beat up a tow truck driver in 2024. Carter was enraged that his car was being towed because it was illegally parked. When he saw his car was being towed, he grabbed the tow truck driver, hauled him out of his tow truck, smashed him onto the pavement and broke his ribs. When invited to introduce the President of the United States, almost anyone would be thrilled to do it. That's what Dart did. If I were invited to introduce Barack Obama at an event (for some weird reason), I would be honored to do it -- even though I think Obama was a horrible President. And I would think of something nice to say -- because that's what you do if you have manners. That's what Jaxson Dart did. He certainly does support President Trump, as do most NFL players and 90% of NFL QBs. But Dart said nothing remotely controversial or even partisan in his introduction. I believe the Giants should trade Abdul Carter for whoever they can get. He is a toxic and divisive force in the locker room. The New York Giants do not need a Colin Kaepernick on the team.

I was taken into the tent three of those times for things that had nothing to do with my head. They have their own operation of kind of how they handle things. I'm still getting used to this game. I'm getting used to the speed of this level. In college, you can watch my tape, I very rarely slid. But this is a different beast. Flowers were laid at the monument by Governor Alexander Beglov, Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy Alexander Moiseyev, the command of the Leningrad Military District, participants of the special military operation, and residents of besieged Leningrad. The Germans encircled Leningrad on September 8, 1941. The siege lasted 872 days — on January 27, 1944, the city was completely liberated. My grandma's friend's family moved from Sevastopol to Leningrad. There they were given the apartment where everything was left intact.. Even books of previous owners. We will never forget this Siege, and in October 2022 , the St. Petersburg City Court recognized the actions of the Nazis during the siege of Leningrad as a war crime and genocide of the Soviet people . The materials collected by the city prosecutor's office allow us to judge that the number of victims of the siege was at least 1,093,842 people. The damage caused by the Nazis and their accomplices to Leningrad and its residents is estimated at 35.3 trillion rubles (approx. 429 155 079 USD) at the current exchange rate, the prosecutor's office calculated. What changed about this narrative of sports and politics not belonging together is when, frankly, black athletes started to show more agency and started to speak more about some of the conditions that people in their community were facing or even some of the experiences that they had. That's when it became, oh no, don't mix sports and politics. In this particular case, this was an unforced error by Jaxon Dart. Again, Donald Trump is historically unpopular. He is aggressive. Really aggressive. His attempt rate would have been the highest in the NFL by almost 4%. I think that number being higher v. SEC opponents is a product of less easy throw but him being more comfortable throwing vertical than trusting spacing. That's what you want to work with a young QB. I also think the decision making was good on the majority of misses (outside of Florida/LSU) but he was just innacuarate. The innaccuracy worries me against the SEC. The All-22 shows this better but it would consistently putter out around 50 yards and fall short & inside too often. Fades away from too many throws which leads to this but he doesn't lack arm talent, just elite arm talent that allows you to play how he does consistently. You see against the bad teams how good it can be when he's comfortable. Gotta be able to do it uncomortable spots in the NFL to be successful. Here's how his deep completion rate would rank in the NFL in 2024 (42 QB's): Total: 42.2% (9th) SEC: 30.5% (34th) Non-Conf: 64.5% (1st) Ultimately, Dart needs to learn quick game, protections, get more comfortable going through progressions and seeing things post snap but we all like the aggression and it has to be a big part of why he was Brian Daboll's guy. Get better at it and let's win some damn games! Every single pass:
