Yesterday on the Metro Forward silver line I saw this guy make humping motions + saying sexually aggressive things like “I will choke and f*ck you” to a random woman, who told him to leave or she would call 911. I said “leave her alone” but he continued, which is when I started recording the second clip. After I stopped the video, he tried to get back on the train multiple times but I stood in front of the entrance until he gave up and left. The only other man on our side of the train car’s reaction was telling me to not get him in the background of my video, you can hear him in the second clip. I hesitated to post this but figured anyone who rides the DC metro should avoid this man if you see him.

Following Kentucky’s comeback win over Tennessee, Goodman said his status is “iffy” and that there’s a “good chance” he doesn’t return this season. “Iffy for the near future. Just do the hard thing 15km straight uphill Since moving to Medellin I’ve wanted to run this route, Las Palmas, but due to travel and injury it hadn’t happened yet So when someone asked me the other day I randomly yes not really knowing what to actually expect Everyone said to approach it with respect and to start slower than I’d like Glad to say I listened Running uphill is such a different thing. Especially when there’s no flat or downhill part at all. Straight up elevation for almost 2 hours. Legs and lungs felt ok but yet HR shoots up almost immediately Time to focus on recovery and eat lots of food now

One of the things I’ve struggled with this year is my weight, due to a new medication. I’ve always been someone who loves food, but after going on birth control for the first time in 10+ years I gained 25 pounds in less than 3 months. The birth control was one attempt to help with my severe PMDD symptoms, but sadly it didn’t work AND caused my cravings to skyrocket. After doing a full 3 month test my doctor and I decided to try other treatment options for PMDD. A big reason for that decision was because my body fat percentage was quickly nearing 40% and was starting to cause other health issues. I’ll be completely honest, I lost a lot of motivation in the months after gaining the weight. It became seemingly impossible to get back to where I was just 6 months ago. How could it go downhill so quickly? I am proud to report, however, that after 3 months of changing my mindset and focusing on myself I have lost 7 of those 25 pounds. I am finally going to the gym consistently again, eating the correct amount of calories per meal (except on big film days 😅), and have been spending more time with people who lift me up. I still have a long way to go, but for the first time in over a year I’m really starting to feel like myself again. Thank you to all of you who’ve been on this wild and incredible journey with me all these years 😘

June is Men's Mental Health Awareness Month. I wanted to take a moment to remember former ND Running back George Atkinson III🙏 Atkinson took his own life on December 2nd, 2019 after battling with the passing of his mother two years prior & the suicide of his twin brother Josh who he had lost the very next year. Mental health is a very important subject for us men to discuss because a lot of us don't like to talk about it. June is Men's Mental Health Awareness Month. I wanted to take a moment to remember former ND Running back George Atkinson III🙏 Atkinson took his own life on December 2nd, 2019 after battling with the passing of his mother two years prior & the suicide of his twin brother Josh who he had lost the very next year. Mental health is a very important subject for us men to discuss because a lot of us don't like to talk about it. JUST IN: Ravens fan turns himself in after going viral for assaulting multiple Washington Commanders fans. 24-year-old John Callis is facing 25 years in prison for the violent assault. The thug is facing multiple charges, including first-degree aggravated assault and three counts of second-degree assault. The men had encountered each other before the incident when Callis allegedly aggressively grabbed and punched one of the victims. According to charging documents, there are three victims, with one of them being off camera three minutes before. Two of the victims came back to find a lost phone, which is when the incident you see on film occurred.

Guess who just turned 5? :) Tom has been with me for the past five years. This means he has survived with me two devastating Israeli wars on Gaza in 2021, the current one (so far, of course), and many other—less devastating—escalations and assaults. Since October 2023, he has moved with me between three shelters. There have been many days and weeks when I felt I was in a dilemma since I couldn’t find anything to feed him, especially during the first months of Israel’s genocide in Gaza. I shared with him my portion of the bread we managed to find and saved him some clean water when we used to count the sips of water we could have each day. The once unsociable cat, who hated strangers, was unable to understand why he was suddenly snatched from his calm home and taken to a shelter with around 70 strangers, including children, whose noise and energy left him anxious and paranoid all the time. The once-spoiled cat, who didn’t settle for less than chicken breast and fancy wet and dry cat food and used to turn his back to me whenever I tried to feed him less fancy food, had to eat bread wetted with water and white rice leftovers when he starved and realized this wasn’t another attempt from me to make him eat what I wanted. Despite all of this, I can’t help but feel ashamed to say that Tom was so privileged compared to the hundreds of Palestinians, especially children and elderly people, who either starved to death or died due to acute malnutrition and severe vitamin and iron deficiencies caused by Israel’s systematic starvation of the population in Gaza. I feel ashamed of myself when I give Tom half of my loaf of bread and then go to work to document another case where a mother helplessly watched her child starve to death, not because she didn’t have the money to buy him food, but because there was literally no food to buy as Israel imposed a deadly blockade on northern Gaza to force the population to the south. What I’m not ashamed to admit, however, is that I now eat the same food Tom once rejected for being “poor quality.” Before the war, I’ve never bought canned luncheon meat for him, knowing how harmful it could be for cats. But for the past year, that same canned food, part of international aid, which most of the time is low quality food and barely edible, has sustained us both. These days, Tom and I share the same can of luncheon meat. But after all, I’m proud of Tom now more than ever, the spoiled cat who has transformed from a loner into a social butterfly, now making friends with all the stray cats around the shelter :) I can’t wait for the day I’ll put him in his box for the last time and head north… HOME

This happened on day at Hospital in Denver, Colorado. The officer in the bed is Officer Daniel Park, Denver Police K9 Unit. The dog is Axel, his four-year-old Belgian Malinois partner. Five days ago, Officer Park and Axel responded to a robbery in progress. During the confrontation, Park was shot in the shoulder. Axel was right there. Saw his partner go down. Stood over Park and wouldn't let anyone near him—not even other officers—until paramedics convinced him they were helping. Park was rushed into surgery. Spent five days in recovery. Hospital policy says no animals. But the K9 unit pushed hard. Axel hadn't eaten since Park went down. Wouldn't work with any other handler. Just paced and whined constantly. The hospital made an exception yesterday. Watch the footage. Park is propped up in bea. You can see the bandages on his shoulder. The door opens. Axel walks in with Sergeant Kim holding his leash. Axel sees Park and just stops. Stares. Like he can't believe it. Park reaches out his good arm. "Hey, boy. Come here." Axel bolts across the room. Jumps onto the bed. But look how careful he is. He positions himself across Park's chest, deliberately avoiding the shoulder injury. Park wraps his arms around Axel and starts crying. Axel tucks his head under Park's chin and doesn't move. Park's nurse told us: "We don't normally allow dogs in recovery rooms. But watching that reunion, I understood completely. That dog needed to know his partner was alive." Axel stayed for thirty minutes. When it was time to go, he refused to get off the bed. They had to use his favorite toy to coax him down. Park gets released tomorrow. Goes home to Axel. Sometimes the only thing that matters is knowing your partner is still breathing.
