🐱 Lukashenko compared Europe to dead kittens According to the Belarusian dictator, European security issues should be resolved in Europe, not in Washington. "We shouldn't wait for someone to pick us up like dead kittens, sit us down at a table somewhere, and force us to solve these problems," Lukashenko said. He also agreed with Donald Trump, who has previously argued that the war in Ukraine is primarily Europe's problem.

President of Czechia Petr Pavel: There won't be a solution for the war in Ukraine without the United States. And that's painful for Europe that the United States does play the key role. But that doesn't mean that Europe and European countries have to be aside from these efforts. This is about European security and future. And Europe has to take on more responsibility for European security, including with solving the situation in Ukraine.

US Secretary of State Marko Rubio on security guarantees for Ukraine: There's a lot of talk about security guarantees, and it's something that there's general agreement about now with the case of Ukraine. But those security guarantees involve the deployment of a handful of European troops, primarily French and the UK, and then a US backstop. But in fact, the security guarantee is the US backstop. And I'm not diminishing the fact that some countries in Europe are willing to place troops in a post-war Ukraine. What I'm pointing out is that is irrelevant without the US backstop. And the reason why you need such a strong US backstop is because our allies and our partners have not invested enough in their own defense capabilities over the last 20 or 30 years. Now, hopefully that's going to change. Hopefully that is changing.

‼️‼️🇺🇸🇪🇺 NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte is set to hold private talks tomorrow with Elbridge Colby, the Pentagon’s top policy official and one of the key figures shaping the Trump administration’s future military posture in Europe. The meeting comes as Washington conducts a six-month review of U.S. force deployments in Europe, led primarily by Colby. European allies are seeking clarity over whether the review could result in further reductions to the roughly 80,000 American troops currently stationed across Europe. Colby is also expected to brief NATO ambassadors in Brussels, while allied governments emphasize their increased defense spending and readiness to assume greater responsibility for European security. The talks could be important for NATO’s future balance of responsibilities. Washington is increasingly demanding that Europe take the lead in its own conventional defense, while European allies want to ensure that this transition does not translate into a rapid weakening of the American military presence on the continent. Rutte’s private meeting with Colby therefore comes at a particularly sensitive moment for transatlantic security. See the latest updates with us: Visioner

It is completely unreasonable to criticize the US for its new security strategy, since for decades the Americans have had to pay for Europe's security, and Estonia has no interest in joining the clamor of the European left. Our interest is stable relations with the US.

"You challenged Europe to step up. You challenged us to step up on Ukraine, on defense spending, on European security and I say to you that we have, we are and we will further," - UK Defense Secretary John Healey during a meeting with US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth. Secretary Healey promised to increase defense spending, as demanded by Donald Trump from NATO allies. In response, Secretary Hegseth said that Washington sees "encouraging signals" in the initiatives of London and Paris regarding future security guarantees for Ukraine and for strengthening Europe in general. At the same time, the U.S. Secretary emphasized that the resumption of intelligence sharing with Ukraine depends only on Donald Trump. "And we're very encouraged by the signs we're seeing. Ultimately, he [Trump] will make the determination," Hegseth added.

In an interview for Al Mayadeen, Professor Mohammad Marandi argued that European powers lack both the "technology" and "firepower" to play a meaningful role in any potential military escalation around the Strait of Hormuz, warning that "any military involvement… would be very deadly for them." Marandi further stated that Europe's change of "method and approach" by negotiating with the "Iranians to solve their problems" reflects their recognition that "the power lies in Tehran." Yet, the problem is that Europe is viewed in Iran as "not reliable... not credible... and untrustworthy" after years of imposing maximum sanctions against Iran and "wrecking the nuclear deal." According to Marandi, given Europe's limited independence from the US and its declining global standing, "there will be no major progress" with Iran, despite "some small agreements here and there". Commentator from the Israeli TV channel Channel 14, Tamir Morag, commenting on the reasons for the delay in the American strike, stated: "It seems that Trump has already made a decision, and even if the strike is postponed for a few days, it will still take place. One of the reasons for the delay is serious disagreements between the US and its allies: Qatar, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia have notified Washington that they will not allow US Air Force planes to take off from bases on their territory."

We are doing everything to ensure that our joint actions are enough to truly protect Ukraine – and therefore Europe. Since February 24, Poland’s support for Ukraine has been unprecedented – never before at this scale in our shared history. Lithuania is with us – at an unprecedented level as well. All Baltic states are with us. Northern Europe is with us. Germany is one of the key defenders of life. France is with us. The United Kingdom is with us. Almost all of Central Europe is with us. Italy is with us. Spain and Portugal, the countries of Southern Europe, are with us. Romania and Moldova are with us. In 1863, the insurgents could not even dream of such unity – and today, that unity is working. The European Union exists and grows stronger every year. The United States is with us. Canada is with us. Japan is with us. Our call is simple: this unity must be 100 percent effective. Not halfway. Not for a few months a year. Not until the next elections in one European country or another. But fully effective. Not what is convenient. Not what feels acceptable. But as much as is required to work – so that there is no threat to Europe or to any of our nations.
