Their basic duty is to stop spending the taxpayers' money as if it were their own. God forbid the government to live within its means like the rest of us.

It is the duty of Congress to responsibly manage the money and resources entrusted to them. Constantly raising the debt ceiling is not responsible management.

No! The government needs to quit spending so much money. Instead of that 1.2 trillion omnibus bill going to fund ridiculous pet projects take that money and pay off our debt. Instead of more money to Ukraine take that loner and pay our debt. STOP spending!

Actually no. Their job is to do what is right for the people of America. That definitely means curbing the government’s spending

There is no duty for congress to continue authorizing more debt.

Absolutely NOT. She is spewing political propaganda. Debit ceiling is too far out of real fiscal responsibility. This nation must cur costs and stay within a budget. If not it will collapse just like Rome did centuries ago.

It's actually their basic duty to live within a budget that reflects their limited constitutional authority to protect our liberty.

She said several times it is Congress' Contitutional Responsibility to raise the debt ceiling. I don't remember that part of the Constitution. Maybe there's an alternative? Perhaps limit spending?
