Tom Cruise wrote the Magnolia monologue himself and paul thomas anderson just sat there going what the fuck "he wanted me in like Izod shirts and khaki. I was like I don't think that's this guy" "I created that whole character. I had him sit down in my screening room and I basically wrote the opening monologue" "I could just see his face. he's like what the fuck" this is why nobody else could have played that part. he didn't ask permission he just became the character and made paul watch

There was a level of respect I just had to give for the "Amotekun Leader" character that I played in Ijogbon. Studying the character and bringing him to life had to be grounded in the mannerisms of real life Amotekun, and I am really grateful to the Amotekun for giving me the audience and time needed to have a peek into their world. #JingBoran #TheEarlySpring #早春晴朗 The more I hear Jing Boran talk about how he understands Luke, the more I appreciate him as an actor 😭 When asked whether Luke is the typical “domineering CEO” archetype, Jing Boran said: “He really isn’t a domineering CEO. What I wanted to portray was simply an ordinary person—a refined man with flaws. I’m portraying a human being, not some image of a perfect man. With this character, you naturally get to see many of his selfish sides. We brought so many of his flaws back into the story precisely so everyone could see them, and then accompany him as he grows. We created a flawed, imperfect character, and through that, built an emotional bridge between the character and the audience. Only then can the audience eventually embrace him and grow together with him. It’s just that people tend to categorize this kind of character as a ‘domineering CEO’…” And then after explaining ALL THAT so seriously he basically gave up 😭: “But I also think… whatever. If you want to call him a domineering CEO, then so be it.” 😭😭😭 I love that he cared so much about making Luke feel like an actual human being rather than an idealized male archetype… only to end with “fine, call him whatever you want” LMAO.

Thoughts on Kliff?? No shade on Crimson Desert, but I really feel like Kliff could’ve just as easily been a player created character. It’s interesting to me that they didn’t go the customisable character route when story isn’t really the focus. He just feels so generic and plain. Don’t get me wrong, I like him and he’s badass, but he really offers nothing to the story. Nothing he does or says feels like it has any real personality behind it 🤷🏽‍♂️

No, he without a doubt, died in Berlin. He considered anyone fleeing to be a coward. He was a fanatic, it would have been completely of character for him to flee and give up the country he loved and fought for just to live in Argentina.
