So you could win with a mediocre product if you were a good enough marketer. And I think that is getting harder to do.” He continues: “The right way to respond to this if you’re a company is to say, I’m going to put the vast majority of my energy, attention, and dollars into building a great product or service. And put a smaller amount into shouting about it (marketing). Because I know if I build a great product or service, my customers will tell each other.”

Then Jeff Wilke, a new Amazon executive at the time, told his boss, “Jeff, you have enough ideas to destroy Amazon.” “This was just a shocking idea for me,” Bezos recalls. “As a founder, I had the great luxury of always being able to hire my tutors. I would hire these experienced, senior executives . . . And I would listen to them and they would teach me.” When Bezos asked Wilke what he meant by this, Wilke responded, “You have to release the work at the right rate so that the organization can accept it.” Bezos reflects on this point: “Every time I released an idea, I was creating a backlog of work in process. Honored to announce my MBA graduation from the University of Aberdeen! I am thrilled to share that I have completed my Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Aberdeen , graduating with Commendation. It is a privilege to earn a degree from one of the most respected universities and business schools in the UK and around the world. This achievement represents a personal milestone, marked by countless late nights and sacrifices. Balancing a demanding job, family life, and social commitments while pursuing this degree was a significant challenge, but one that I am incredibly proud to have overcome. The journey was not easy, but it was absolutely worth it. For my final MBA project, I focused on a topic that combined my technical background with my new business knowledge: “Design and Simulation of a Smart Container Door Alert System Using Hybrid Connectivity for Maritime Logistics Security.” In simple terms, I designed a system to make sea containers more secure. Check the video for more info. This project was inspired by my work with two great companies, Milaha and Meeza, and it aims to solve real-world problems in the logistics industry. My career has been built on over 20 years of technical experience in IT and Security, where I had the opportunity to lead strong teams and manage critical operations. This MBA was a deliberate step to transition from a purely technical role to a management position. I believe that to truly support a company, it is essential to understand the business side of things, not just the technology. This journey would not have been possible without the incredible support of my family. I am deeply grateful to my father and mother for their prayers, and to my wonderful family , for her unwavering support and encouragement. Balancing a demanding job, family life, and social commitments while pursuing this degree was a significant challenge, but one that I am incredibly proud to have overcome. The journey was not easy, but it was absolutely worth it. For my final MBA project, I focused on a topic that combined my technical background with my new business knowledge: “Design and Simulation of a Smart Container Door Alert System Using Hybrid Connectivity for Maritime Logistics Security.” In simple terms, I designed a system to make sea containers more secure. Check the video for more info. This project was inspired by my work with two great companies, Milaha and Meeza, and it aims to solve real-world problems in the logistics industry. My career has been built on over 20 years of technical experience in IT and Security, where I had the opportunity to lead strong teams and manage critical operations. This MBA was a deliberate step to transition from a purely technical role to a management position. I believe that to truly support a company, it is essential to understand the business side of things, not just the technology. This journey would not have been possible without the incredible support of my family. I am deeply grateful to my father and mother for their prayers, and to my wonderful family , for her unwavering support and encouragement.
