they took more time arguing the call then it would have to just throw another pitch...

Baseball shouldn’t forget that *leisure* is part of its character, much like golf

The game doesn’t matter anymore only the time it takes to play it.

Lol.. and the "new" fans are rushing to park after seeing this nonsense!!

@TalkinBaseball_ The best thing about baseball is that it doesn’t have a clock. Let’s throw a 10 run rule in and a 2 hour limit on games like it’s little league while we’re at it.

Umps have made 2023 about them so far. It’s an absolute pathetic display. MLB should be ashamed and the game of baseball should be ashamed.

“You can’t penalize the hitter…” If there is to be any penalty called, the alternative is that you declare the runner out and end the inning. Better?

This clock rule is gonna make a lot of players coaches and fans really mad come playoff time when it happens in an important situation

I like how the arguing of this garbage takes longer than another pitch 💀💀

I understand people against the pitch clock, but saying “arguing about it took longer than just pitching the ball” are being purposefully obtuse. The point is for these initial arguments to get everyone caught up on the rules which will speed up later games
