Jeff Teague says Donovan Mitchell is just as good as D Wade post 2006 “I’m not saying he better than D Wade… but after that first finals run, I think Donovan Mitchell just as good as D Wade. The young D Wade vs Dallas we’d be like damn he’s incredible, but after that? He played with Bron” (Via Club520podcast) 😐

Jeff Teague says it’s like Evan Mobley gets a pass every time he play bad: “You know what I mean? We always talk about James Harden and Donovan Mitchell, then Evan Mobley kinda just sneaks by everybody. Be like they got Evan Mobley too. Like, at some point Evan Mobley if these two dudes Donovan Mitchell and James Harden are not having good nights, you on like a max deal you supposed to have a 36 point night, 37 point night. You got the matchup. No disrespect to Tobias but he’s an older player, he’s short. You got the matchup.” (Via Club520podcast)

Kendrick Perkins says Donovan Mitchell is under the most pressure to win in the playoffs: "He's under the most pressure out of anyone in the NBA. A Donovan Mitchell led team has never, ever, made it to the conference finals. He will go down as one of the greatest regular season players ever.... One could argue that the Cavaliers has done more for Donovan Mitchell than what they did for LeBron James"

Channing Frye says the Cavs need to move on from Donovan Mitchell or Evan Mobley” “I just think the difference between KAT and Brunson, Brunson is a true number one. I don’t think Donovan Mitchell is a true number one take you to the NBA finals person. Like he’s a great player, yes. I think Mobley is a two also personally, so you got to bring a one in now, a real one… So, you’re supposed to sit here and pay him $200 million to be the most expensive under achieving team.” (Via Road Trippin’ Show)

Dwyane Wade appreciates Anthony Edwards for studying his game during the playoffs: “I’m watching the press conference then Ant be like ‘beat that sh*t’ and then he goes he watched a lot of Dwyane Wade film. I’m just like that’s love…as a 6’4 guy I protected the rim…it’s really cool when you’re watching these guys who have a similar makeup as you and you see them take things that you did and implement it in their style…that warms the heart strings…” D-Wade also appreciates Donovan Mitchell and VJ Edgecombe showing him love.

“F*ck all that… I’m gonna just work” Donovan Mitchell on his Louisville classmate Lamar Jackson. Donovan Mitchell can’t forget the image of Lamar Jackson laying on the table next to his mother on draft night. 31 players & 4 QBs were drafted before the 2 time MVP, that some thought should switch positions. He’s proved many doubters wrong, but still lacks the one thing he covets most… A Championship! Donovan Mitchell believes that’s on deck as well. Sam Merrill on Donovan Mitchell: “Donovan is someone that…it’s hard to describe what Donovan means to me. I remember when I was in the G League with the Charge, there was one time where we would go after them…I was just sitting on the side, he was sitting there, came up & we talked. We knew each other from the Utah days but he didn’t have to do that…he’s been such a great dude….I went to a couple playoff games his rookie year so you’re not gonna find another guy more happier for him than I am. I know he wants more & we all want more.”
