This dude isn’t addressing Bezos point. The federal government could tax every billionaire 100% of their income and the federal government would still run an annual deficit.

You don’t tax on “Net worth,” it would be ignorant to do so, do you know how many people would have lost their houses over the last 2-3 years if we taxed on “Net worth?”

You should tax him and other billionaires so hard that they have to close down all their businesses and all those people he employs lose their jobs. That will teach them.

Amazon employs over 1.5m people and is spending almost 200b in capex this year that employs another million people or so. But you would rather him hand over more money to the government so they can do who knows what with it? Dense mofo

They did pay tax though, payroll taxes, property taxes, sales taxes, international taxes & state taxes, they just didn’t pay federal corporate income tax. Around half of all large U.S. corporations had no federal corporate tax in that period. Don’t blame him blame the system.

The U.S. dollar is the reserve currency. There is no need for taxation, period. The government could easily print money to pay your debts as they do for the banks. We’re living in an artificial economy. 80% of the population will never understand, and that’s why it works.

Imagine being such a dumb communist that you would prefer more of Amazon’s money go to the federal government than reinvest in itself. When has the government ever improved with increased revenue? They waste money. Businesses invest it wisely and create jobs.

They need to tax the crap out of these billionaires. They are making us pay for the infrastructure while they put us out of jobs, water, electric and pocket the profits. I used to be against it but no more. They need 3/4 of their profits taxes. At least 1/2!

Why pay tax, when they Print Money

Our taxes are not used to feed the hungry or heal the sick. Our taxes are used to murder the innocent, produce new viruses and biological weapons, new weapons in general that kill the innocent, and massive deception in the media.

The whole story is he is employing 1000’s of people and the more you clamp down, the more they look to move to a better taxed state. Whine all you want, but they do not have to sit there and take it.

My favourite thing is you want the government to collect more taxes but half your complaints are due to government policies. E.g. “Smaller businesses were forbidden from competing”. If the government was fully corrupt would you still be in favour of raising taxes?

Amazon certainly pays corporate taxes like all companies. the reinvestments eventually lead to higher profits (or they wouldn't make those), on which they do pay corporate taxes. 3) Amazon is absolutely not a "monopoly": anyone can and many many many businesses do compete with them (online retail has been a thing for decades) and amazon knows this, which is why they have an incentive to provide a good, cost-effective service. 4) insofar as 3) falls short of reality it's because of excessive regulation on market competition (the subsidies mentioned at the end being a clear instance), NOT because there's too much of it. monopolies don't fall from heaven. 5) "underpaying" his workers compared to what? certainly not to what any one else can offer these workers, apparently.
